only the left one? that blows (no pun intended)...at least it could've tended to both, right?:ugh2:

She sold all his stuff, and I got the whole set of speakers, sub, and receiver for $250. My wife also got me a 2.1 Bose system for the computer and they sound amazing. My only complaint is that at super high levels it will drop the bass and distort the sound some, the built in amp can only do so much.

I have Klipsch Image S4 headphones that I use for in-ear monitors when I play at church. They sound just as good as the leader's $450 Shure IEMs, and I paid $35 on amazon for an open box deal.

A friend was bragging about his $300 Beat headphones one day and said they sounded better than anything on the market. I laughed a lot and then let him listen to my $35 Klipschs and smiled as his face got sad.

For home if I want to play video games or just keep it down at night I have Turtle Beach PX5 wireless headphones. Dual Bluetooth and 7.1 surround sound makes me happy :)

Agreed, it can be expensive, but if you go start piecing together a quality home entertainment system, say Polk or something, you're still gonna spend about the same. Bose's top of the line system runs about $3500, including the blue ray player/receiver. Plus the thing I like about it is that it automatically tunes the output for the best results using a feedback mic to measure the acoustics in your room. Totally foolproof. I saw this demonstration where they put a box over one of the speakers as it was playing a movie which muffled the sound from that speaker. It lasted about a second before the receiver detected that it sounded weird and automatically compensated the high end so that it sounded exactly as before. When they pulled the box off it went from super high amounts of treble back to the same sound as before again. Pretty cool :)

Plus, they perform equally or better in dry weather, and they perform phenomenally better in wet weather. Got 30K out of the RE050 fronts, so that's not bad. I just replaced all four last month with new Invos and went up to 255 width in the fronts to match the size up in the rears I had already done.

that's why I am going with PSS

mr. jar- im not sure how to reply to your post. the RE050A's aren't really meant to last very long. they grip fairly well for an oe tire. the pole position variant did grip much better than the standard RE050A. i usually got 8k miles on the rear pair, maybe 16-17K on the front. im not a fan of nitto tires. :icon17: (actually not a fan of toyo, nitto, and falken tires, and do not ride on korean brands either not that i hate them, i dont care for them).

i found the DW's wear well. im not so sure if i want my hobby car to have long wearing tires because i dont put much milage on them to begin with. i'd almost prefer it wears around 10k miles so that i can replace them withtout feeling im throwing away tires that are 'still good.' :icon17: like any rubber, after a while the tire gets dry and they dont grip as well as they did new. so i cycle them once every 3-4 years even if there is decent tread on them.

my tire of choice are:

Yokohama Advan Sports (not bad! on my Z right now)
Bridgestone S04 (very good, on my G right now).
Bridgestone RE11 (will be on my nismo's next).

Michelin PSS (have not tried, but mr.onzedge says very good! does not come in 285/35/19 though :( )

:icon17: The Harman Kardon has a different design and quality than most of the others in that price range.

I was looking through the options last night and most of them are Logitech, Creative or Altec.... plastic casing micro speakers... For $150... :icon14:

Came across the Harman Kardon and looked up couple reviews and they score average of 4 to 4.5 out of 5 in most customers' reviews.

Then I rather spend $150 for a set like that than a set of those plastics... :icon17:

Have fun hunting...

thanks, mr.alcheng! yah, im still undecided but will continue to hunt. :p

Already getting antsy about dropping her off at the paint shop on the 28th. I called to ask about matching the door handles and they aren't sure if the paint will stick. :ugh2: So I mentioned that there are plenty of other members that have painted theirs and have had no issues. They will look at it when I bring it in and decide.
