Driving home from down south last night caused me to get irritated with several of my fellow Hwy 99 travelers and not just a little. Although I was cruising in my rented Corolla -- a car that can bore one to tears -- I was keeping up a good pace. The number of drivers who a) tailgate and b) drive with their friggin' driving/fog lights on was astounding.
This gave me an idea -- mainly because I was bored and if you have driven from south of Fresno to Sac on 99, you know what I am talking about. Seriously, it is a wasteland, devoid of any sort of entertainment and heavily populated with racecar-type F-150s and Priuses (Priuii ?) as well as poorly marked construction projects. I digress. So, instead of mounting a rear fog light (which I have sitting in my garage still), I am thinking this: I am going to mount the brightest, most powerful HID where the rear fog lamp goes. Perhaps cooking a few retinas of the drivers who either think it is cool to run aux lights on the freeway in perfectly clear weather or are handi-tarded enough to not know how to run them off will teach them a lesson. Just a thought. |
all I have to say about this is....... that's a bit of bad luck right there now.

Ken, is the LED covered at all? Do you have a finished pic of the effect it creates? I assume that your steering column isn't always exposed :icon17: Quote:

and I've got the balls to say hell no to screwing with that much electrical stuff in someone else's DD when I won't even do it to my own :icon17: |

I like your idea, as I'm not sure how well the Z could pull this one off - it lights up to read "You are tailgating. Please back off." :bowrofl: http://foodfamilyfinds.com/blog/wp-c...ailgaiting.jpg |
