How's your cousin doing?

Nismo89 01-12-2013 09:37 AM

yesterday was an extremely rough day for him , throwing up and such. he's actually on the phone with my mom right now, he's still in the hospital but hoping to come home soon..we don't know if the doctors have told him that the surgery didn't go well......he's allowed only jello right now. hopefully a miracle happens...

Wow! There was a really complimentary statement in Motor Trend. They're reviewing the new double-clutch that has now come out on the Audi R8, and state that "The V10 Plus is crazy quick exiting corners, just like a Nissan GT-R".

So nice of them to acknowledge the fact that Nissan has been doing the double clutch for years now. :)

Hello everyone! :hello:

So let me ask this: I just got back from Chicago today. Do you still need those 10mm studs, or are you going a different route now?

Just let me know my friend. :)

Mr. Happy - if you could mail the studs to me, I would be grateful. I've got a friend who can use them who has helped me out numerous times.

Thank you very much.

Good morning gang :hello:

I made it out to the garage early today. The fuel pump is on my bench getting replaced with a bigger one. I think my car is going to be a little more thirsty than it used to be so the new pump should do the trick. :driving:

I tip my hat to the fact that you're doing this work yourself. :tiphat:

I'm not so mechanically inclined that I would venture into that realm. I'll do the basic stuff, but WWOWW, you're really digging in deep, aren't you?!

Ok, I'll admit it...I was all like "WHAAAAAAT"?! When I read the title of this Cooking Channel show: Grow Your Own Drugs!!

In this six part series ethno botanist James Wong demonstrates how to grow and transform familiar plants into simple remedies that could help ease the symptoms of minor everyday ailments.

The shop I was going to use does only OEM work, so I have to find another one to do it. :ugh2:

Yeah, I know. I may have found a shop here in the city I live in..but it's so hard to let someone work on your ride if you don't really know the quality of their work. :ugh2:

Neither am I. I haven't done my own brake job, ever! :icon14:

The thing that really gave me the push was the fact that nobody around here has worked on these cars, including the Nissan dealer (other than oil changes). I figure I may as well give it a try.

P.S. I put oil in it today... Soooooo close!

lets go Ravens. that is all.

happytheman 01-12-2013 03:08 PM

Ok, I think I'm going to give this shop a try that's about 20 minutes from where I live. They were recommended to me some time back before I got my Evo-R diffuser painted and installed. I have actually been able to find some really good references for the shop, and feel like they will be the best option for me. :)

Yeah, after doing some research, these guys come recommended by Grassroots Motorsports (http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/) and Classic Motorsports (http://classicmotorsports.net/) as well, so I think I will be ok with this shop. Also, Mercedes, BMW and Volvo sends their vehicles to them for repair.

My car is the dirtiest it has ever been, and it's forcast to rain through Friday. I'm having severe "dirty car anxiety". :ugh2:

Guess who's not installing his calipers this week? This guy...

Mike did an awesome job on them, and individually boxed them, but the individual boxes weren't taped.... So when I picked up the individual box containing one...BOOM! It hit the ground. :crying:
