Explain this backwards logic. Can't stand this bs
If a girl wants to do a sex change and be a man, she has a medical condition and can get help from doctors to be a man....including testosterone
If a man wants to chop off his **** and grow titties, no problem. Get the operation and get prescribed estrogen. After all, it's his right to do what makes him happy. But God forbid, a man who wants to be more manly. That's not ok. A man who wants to be bigger and stronger cannot simply go to the doctor and get a prescription for testosterone and/or steroids. And if he does so outside of the law he is looking at serious charges. So if chopping my **** off makes me happy that's ok, but if having more muscle mass and lifting more weight makes me happy that's not ok. This blows my mind. Western countries have become so pussified it's sickening. I blame feminism |

I'm rather ignorant on the matter but is taking performance enhancing drugs actually illegal? I can understand its ban from organized sports for obvious reasons but it doesn't fit the standard definition of an illegal narcotic. Generally they only outlaw the mind altering substances.

Please explain what part of my argument is retarded....preferably with something other than "the news portrays steroid use negatively so I share the same opinion" |

If you have a legit case to make then do it in an adult manner, people will take your ideas seriously when you do so. Maybe post some information regarding the negative and positive affects steroid use has when used in a doctor approved manner. Cite sources.. things like this will make your points valid and worth hearing. |
I think it is more of the fact that it is controlled under the laws.
Doctors usually prescribe safe amounts for people to go through sex changes. With steroids, people abuse it to the point where they get terrible side affects that i am sure no one wants. |

Oh and to be clear I don't mean feminism as in equal rights for women. I mean modern day feminism which is more of an attack on masculinity Quote:

As being an MD myself - think it's a pretty tough argument either way.
I would not want to take on the responsibility of prescribing large doses of estrogens (side effects, risk of clots/strokes, etc) to a male with a gender identity issue. Nor would I write a whole boatload of testosterone to a woman with the same. I think a little extra testosterone, in a male, wouldn't be so bad --- particularly if it's watched VERY closely with liver function tests and a small mountain of paperwork holding me harmless for the effects. The problem is that I need to have a damn good argument for the FDA / DEA in the case I get audited, and that's always a real possibility regardless of the amount of control's you write. You might be able to convince a urologist to write it, that would be your best bet, after age 40. And no, i'm not one of those. |
