I don't name my cars. With the Z(L1) I find it hard to call it by a womans name seeing that it is soo masculine. Don't think I can call it a guys name sounds a bit on the :supergay: side LOL. Guess it is Back N' Black. Back cause it is a Chevy and I have owned Camaro's before and black well that is obvious. Also I owned a black Camaro so it goes well.

:tup: i have a history w camaros too....68, hurst speed shifter. Fat wide tires, lots of power... boyfriend...friday night...inexperienced driver (me) red light/green light....frustration w clutch speed shifter. Smoke. Smell of burnt rubber. 1/2 block later...seconds pass....let off it let off it.....:tup: :p sigh...yep-fun. Wonder if he remembers it the same way ;)

lol... there is a joke about my NISMO and my blazer... I told my wife I should call my NISMO her sisters name.. cuz she is hot, and not good for much, but a fast ride.... and I should call my Blazer Serena(wife's name) because she is good at a lot of stuff, reliable, been through a lot, and while the rest of the world may not see it, she is perfect to me.... :roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2:

Okay, okay....after the overwhelming landslide of requests (the beautiful and charming ms. pint and my good buddy from the Sunshine State mr. happy), here are some pictures comparing the badges with the original, cheesy faux carbon fiber cardboard backing plates and my gun metallic replacements.

The second picture is a side-by-side comparison of the two backings on my hood. Note that the gun metallic piece hasn't been buffed-out so it looks a little dull. Since I am going to put a piece of clear bra over it, there is no need to buff it. Also, what little of it actually shows through the badge, it's not noticeable any way. I do have to wait a few weeks to let the paint "gas out" before applying the clear film.

Once the clear is applied, I'll peel off the hamburgers and install the new badges. I'll also remove the 370 Z logo off the back too.

Once it's all done, I'll shoot some pictures.

Super, super easy project.

I'm slow to get going today. I think my age and lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. :p Just had a nice ham and egg sandwich and I'm working on my second cup of coffee. Another bday party later today....presnts are to be donations for the Ronald McDonald Hoise in cinci instead of toys....my niece is 1 and mom and dad spent some time there when she was first born due to complications w breathing....:tup: great idea!
