Good Morning from your long lost cousin in Houston. :hello:

I've been way too busy at work to even attempt to follow the thread. Looks like all is well though.

Looks to be a quiet weekend where I'll get a chance to do a full detailing on the Z. Caught a nasty rock from the drive last weekend that apparently skipped off the bottom of the front spoiler and hit one of the grille blades.

The stone actually chipped the leading edge of the spoiler, scratched the rest of the spoiler as it cart wheeled up before hitting the grille.

Like everything else in life, this has presented an opportuninty for a mod! I'm going to black out my grill opening (remember I have a Nismo front bumper that has the grille area painted body color), and then extend the color down from the grille to the edge of the front spoiler similar to what folks do with their standard front bumper "fang" areas. See ms. pint's car for reference.

In fact, I got the idea from a picture ms. pint posted of an Austin meet. Someone in her gang has a white Nismo who extended the black down to the spoiler, and I really like it. Thanks Tracie!

Anyway, i't's Z-time, football, and NASCAR this weekend. The wife is headed off to Fredericksburg on a wine tasting trip with the girls, so it's peace and quiet time for me.

Have a great weekend all! :tiphat:

onzedge 11-09-2012 07:38 AM

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I am off with my wife and father-in-law to Medford, OR for a reunion of sorts with his brothers (my uncles-in-law). It is a great opportunity to feel uneducated, as they are mostly doctors.

We rented a Ford Expedition for the trip so we could take dogs and kennels -- that vehicle is gigantic and comfortable. It feels like I am driving around my living room.

Have a great day and nice weekend.

That body kit is VERY functional. The wing gives you somewhere to fold your laundry.

To answer your side note - PlastiDip's black is somewhere between satin and flat. I may use it on my front end theis weekend.

Isamu 11-09-2012 12:04 PM

Well I called the wrap place so that I won't have to worry about it so much. They charged me $200 for just my lights and I found out they quoted another 370z $75 for the same tail light set up. I called them this morning and asked for a lower price on the fang wrap since I overpaid so much for my lights. He's supposed to get back to me on an updated price. If anything, I'll play with plastidip this weekend anyway. Maybe one rim of each of the blaze colors? :icon17:

i honestly have no clue about that type of stuff.
thinking supercharger since its cheaper and from what ppl say... more reliable than the turbo.

i have 13k left to pay on the car now.

i want to make it a track domination car, 11 second car lol on the strip while still being

wont be tracking it too too much. but when i do...dayum. type thing lol.
