Why? The only ones I would suggest are the stud replacement, which means extra $$ for install. But the biggie is that most tire stores refuse to work on cars with spacers. Found that one out the hard way. I had to remove the tire myself in the parking lot and roll it into the work bay. Not that big of a deal except I was on my way to work and not exactly dressed for the moment.

Since you will eventually be getting new wheels, just order the correct offset for the fit you want.

Again, almost two cents worth of advice.

I'll take your advice! Hell, anything to talk me out of spending money please.

I'm really not trying to talk you out of spending money, or trying to tell you what to do. I can just see you standing in the parking lot of a Direct Tire store in a state of shock as the manager spots the spacers and tells you that he can't touch the flat tire until you take it off the car.

I've made enough mistakes modding this past year, and discovered a bunch of things I hadn't anticipated, that I would hate to see someone repeat the process without at least hearing some of my experiences.

No, I understand completely and am not offended or anything of that nature. I know nothing about mods unless I've read it here so thanks for schooling me!

Happy hour after work! :woot:

That's the beauty of this Board, especially this thread. Not a lot of egos and a willingness to share experiences so we can all learn.

We may not always agree with each other, but at least we seem to respect the opinions being expressed - a rarity on the internet.

My understanding is that there is a fear that the rim might not seat properly, or if the spacer does fit for some reason, they do not want to be held liable. I really don't get it either, but I don't make the rules.
