Any Forza / Gran Turismo players out there?
 

So I picked up a Fanatec CSR racing wheel/pedals for use in Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 4. Got it all hooked up last night for the first time and have to say... the experience is pretty great. I haven't tried it with Forza 4 yet, but GT5 is way more fun now. =]

Anyone out there have a similar setup? :driving:

I bought the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel for Gran Turismo 5 last year. It's night and day compared to racing with the standard controller. I love the wheel, so much fun!

I played GT5 religiously when it came out, but once races became over an hour long...I gave up. Same thing with all the previous GT games. Once I hit the Endurance Races...I got bored with it.

I wouldn't say I'm a serious driver, though. I'm practicing, trying to get better .. but I don't take it too seriously.

And yeah, I agree about the endurance races. The only racing game I really spent a lot of time with previous to GT5 was GT3 and I quit that when I made it to the endurance races. Still had a lot of fun tho. I also played Forza 2 a bit but just couldn't get in to it like I did GT3. I picked up Forza 4 when I got my Fanatec CSR .. so will give the series a second try.

I have Forza 4, but rarely play it. I get bored with racing games easily, that and I had progressed a long ways into it already, then my 6yo Xbox finally died and I had to get a new one and start all over, lol.

I just play MW3 and FIFA13 right now, not much else.

I think the Endurance and 24 Hour races are a selling point. It "shows" that GT5 is a realistic simulator, but who's honestly going to sit there for 6 Hours :icon17:

I miss B racing on GT4...you could hit start and let the driver do his thing. Come back 6 Hours later with cash and a prize car :tup:

B racing on GT5 you actually have to pay attention to. Not fun lol.

i just use the little wireless u shaped thingie ... way better than standard controller and cost my (used) 17 bucks

I play the hell out of Forza 4...I'm currently wrapping up the E class World Championships...then I'll start in on all the D class races.

I have a 370Z modified to mirror my car that I use to "play" with....still trying to find that last tenth I need to tie Stig's time around the Top Gear test track. LOL

haha I just picked up GT5 for the PS3, I'm stuck on that and MW3, Blackavar is the screen name if you guys wanna hit me up. Just put the370z.com in the message or I won't add you, I get too many 10 year olds trying to be my friend cause I did well in a MW3 match lol.

I've never had a problem with the endurance races, I just pause the game whenever I'm done for the day and then come back later on and finish it. So far I'm enjoying the new GT5, my only complaint is that the main menu layout sucks. It looks like it was designed by someone with ADHD or something.
