Yeah shot it a few times in the backyard redneck style, but I haven't been to the range yet. I ordered a Vortex SPARC site that will be here this week.

I personally didn't like the sparc. The red dot was horrible. I sent it back. I know it's a budget red dot but damn that dot wasn't a dot.

9mm is fine until you come up against somebody with a lot of good muscle.

I actually saw your review somewhere when I was shopping for it. However the guys on AR15 seem to like it, and I don't need anything fancy.

There's always going to be exceptions, and cases where the guy is huge and hopped up on PCP. For a self defense weapon I still think a 9mm is more than adequate.

I think he was on something. I never been shot but being shot that close would put anyone down. I don't care how big you are, your still made of flesh, bones and what not.

I own a Glock 21.

I've shot pistols, revolvers, rifles, a machine gun (WWII .45 grease gun), shotguns. I was a competitive shotgun shooter from the age of 12.

I just keep the Glock for personal protection now and train extensively with it in terms of close quarter combat but don't shoot anything else anymore. Not really a gun buff... just own one and thought I would chime in.

A lesson to all criminals: Don't attempt to hold-up a gun shop. I read this story today, but it occurred in 1990.

After stepping around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door, a man walked into H&J Leather & Firearms in Renton Highlands near Seattle, Washington intent on robbing the store. The shop was full of customers and a uniformed officer was standing at the counter. Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up and fired a few wild shots from a .38 caliber semiautomatic pistol.

The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, and several customers also drew their guns. The robber was pronounced dead four hours later at a hospital. It's unclear how many shots were fired because some of the suspects shots struck ammunition on the counter causing that ammo to explode. "There were slugs all over that place" police Capt. Don Persson said. Crime scene investigators located 47 spent cartridge cases in the shop; ballistics identified spent rounds from seven different weapons. The subsequent autopsy revealed 4 gunshot wounds to the robber. No one else was hurt.
