i've been reading a lot about ar 15's and it seems a lot of people has issues with them. It may not be big issues but there is a lot of them or it seems like it. You would think as much money as some people put down (over 2k) on some of these ar's you wouldn't have so many problems little or big. Just my 2 cents.

CO2 pellet gun, Walther P22 and Walther P99 http://www.blade-edge.com/images/Jou...7.07/p99_2.JPG P99 with dry fire round inserted. I also have .22 dry fire rounds as well. Shooting the computer screen is fun while watching Resident Evil. Die zombies!! Die!! ;) http://www.blade-edge.com/images/jou...3.09/rifle.jpg A 1000fps (crack-barrel piston powered) .177 pellet rifle, which I bought because it was cheap ($220), quiet (I can fire it at my gym where I can set up a 100ft range) and let me get the hang of properly using a scope (3-9×32mm). http://www.blade-edge.com/images/jou...nny_pellet.jpg My best shot so far is striking a penny at ~60ft (I had to measure via paces so +/- 3ft) I would very much like to get a Remington bolt-action for my next purchase. No idea when I'll be able to afford that. |

Anyone here have a Ruger MK77 30-06 bolt-action they might be willing to sell? With or without scope would be fine. Normal FFL through our respective local shops will apply when shipping between seller/buyer.

Hopped onto this thread a little late but hey. As far as an AR-15, There are a lot of brands to avoid (though i cant remember what they are right now, as im in Afghanistan. Century Arms is one of them.) but Primarily, What exactly are you looking to Get out of the gun (configurations or entirely different weapon system)? Plinking is great, Stopping Power is quite lacking so if you are looking for Home Defence, Go with something else entirely.
As a Platoon Armorer, I can tell you they are VERY easy to work on and/or replace parts. I Do Recommend that if you do get one, go with a Gas Piston Model (so it doesn't blow all the gasses back into the bolt assembly and other moving parts in side). Very fun to Shoot, especially when you put custom grips and buttstocks, etc.. on the weapon. Hope that helps Some, Dont have much time on the net here. |
