Hi guys. Busy night tonight. Had a class in oil well firefighting. Then the instructor set off some dynamite. Watched my favorite football team win their season opener. Go Cowboys. Now I'm on call for the ambulance.

I can't believe you run into the fire with nothing but bunker pants and a helmet... :icon14: |

Mmmm not sure about that one Chris. I'd worry about melting my chest hairs. However when I first joined I did have rollup bunker boots.

Here you are. http://images.wikia.com/wikiality/im...irefighter.png |
Things have really changed in firefighting over the last 20 years. Airmasks with a HUD for monitoring air left. LED lights. Some people even have camera's on thier helmets.

Still not close. I'm 5'6" and go 250#. But I can make a hole in a wall and squeeze through a wall made to normal specs. Without cutting the studs.

I'd have to say A&P is the hardest part of the course.
|
Oh actually the Boards are the hardest LOL

Good luck on your promotion also. I was an E4 for 5 years in the Marines. Never busted, no marks in my record. Had the highest promotion score of any E4 in the Marines but they would not promote anybody in my MOS due to them phasing out my plane the A6 Intruder. did also work on F14's FA18's and Harriers.

Yup I also did a ground run up of a F4 in full afterburner. Talk about power. You could feel the chains straining to hold it inplace.

I installed the 11 piece CF interior

I almost got killed doing a final test of an F14 engine on the back of the aircraft carrier. I tripped and slid towards the opening at the back of the ship. Just caught my heel on a 1inch lip and stopped myself.

I also was trapped in the intake of an A6 on the flight deck when an F14 turned pointing it's exhaust right at me. Talk about hot. Luckily it was turning to get on the cat's and was only there for about 15 seconds.
|
Hi Happy how are ya?
