Touchless carwashes, Okay, but do no real good aside from residual dirt.

Touch carwashes are a definite NO NO. :shakes head:

I cringe at the thought of blasting the dirt thats already on my car into the paint.

Also, you're relying on their filtration to do a good job. Guess where that water came from? That muddy 4x4 that went ahead of you. :(

Good morning all! :hello:

Hello, Mr. Happy!!!

For today it is Juke and 370Z washing, 240Z battery charging (and then replacement with a deep cycle yellow top next week). The highlight, of course, will be the Baby Shower for Colin adn Brianna at ex-wife number 1's house. It should be fun hanging out with my extended family for a couple of hours.

That sounds a bit like my family dynamic. Back in May, ex no. 1, my wife, sons and son number 1's fiance and I went to ATT park to see The Wall. Typical stuff for us.

I think of them more as the exception, not the rule. If in the event it's been a long time since I've had a chance to hand wash, or if it's just too damn hot out, then I will.

Agreed their chemicals, water filtration, lack of adequate pressure/directional control of everything... But still, better than sitting dirt covered. lol

I dunno, I think I'd rather leave the dirt on the body, than have it pressure-washed off/into the paint. It doesn't hurt anything to leave it on there for a little while longer. Plus...the track system that some of those washes have can truly eff up your wheels.

Just my :twocents: tho, fwiw. :icon17:

Meh, you don't have black... it shows dirt 30 mins after washing. :icon17:

True...true, but black is beautiful, esp after a good polish and wax! Also, black is one of the easiest paint colors to match! :)

Beautiful yes. ahhh.... <3

I dunno, now that they've started putting in all the flake types, it makes it a bit more complicated.

Huck 08-19-2012 09:57 AM

Morning everyone! I drove the Mistress to church today, and I'll probably wash her later on today. Tomorrow I should be meeting up with the Z Monster so he can hear my exhaust with the long tube headers, then I'm gonna go to a shop in Orlando to see if they can find/fix the exhaust leak I have. Busy busy!
