I took today off and just finished washing the Z. Will do a full wax job this afternoon after the car is fully dry.

Getting my Zspeed aluminum front diffuser installed tomorrow along with a set of Nismo fender liners. The front bumper will finally be tied in properly.

Just an FYI on oil change frequency - in Europe they laugh at Americans for our oil change intervals. I know Audi recommends 20,000 km between Mobil 1changes.

That being said, I go about 5k miles on a synthetic change. My point being, don't worry if you run past 3,750miles . If it was easier for me to do it, I'd probably go 3k miles between changes.

Have a great weekend all. :tiphat:

:pics: When you get it all installed?:tiphat:
OK on the oil change timing-hubby would agree with you I think...he has been running synthetic for years.
:hello:Have a good weekend GE!!

until I get my cooling all worked out I will continue to do shorter then normal oil changes, tho, my oil temps stay ~200 degrees F. I want to make sure its all good after a few changes to see what kind of damage is being done to the oil via turbo

Yep, I use the handbrake when needed. Drifting on a wheel setup is so much fun. Sliding sideways thru a turn at full lock is awesome

i don't understand why Nissan requires such short intervals. There have been many guys on here who did oil analysis that sshowed you can eun ssynthetic for about 7500 without a problem. I personally just do 2 a year. I only drove 3000-4000 miles per year though.

Good evening and happy weekend upcoming!!

In Germany the Nissan Z dealers all go by a 15000km service interval for the oil. They use a Castrol 5-30 full synthetic. My VW GTI dealer is using a 30000km interval, again Castrol 5-30 is used(specific VW spec oil).

I am about to send off my Mobil 1 sample to Blackstone labs and it was in the car for 8000+miles. I will report back. Next time around Im using the dealer recommended oil and interval of 15000km.

Given the hard use one can put on the car with speed etc here in Germany will be interesting to get the results. Never done an UOA before. I will post it up and then do one using the German dealer oil and interval. I expect no real problems. Oil has come a long way! Fewer changes and down time is all good to me!
