I am switching companies (my last day is Friday) and it is liberating. They came looking for me, which is just icing on the cake.

Well, my company has lost so many experts, I'm going to attempt some highway robbery. I'm going to try and "ethically extort" a 30k raise out of them, or I'll find a company across the street that will pay me that, because it's really what I'm worth.

I am aware of that. I know they won't bump me up. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, and they've got to grovel to keep me at this point anyway. If there was ever a time to try, now is it.

I'd at least be in the talking phase with another company before trying leverage on the one you are with.:stirthepot:

My wage is fixed by contract. Unfortunatelly nobody else around here pays what I make now. But hey when you get to take cruises like the one that I was just on I cannot complain too much. After all I have a nice house, inground pool, 4 car garage, a ZL1 and still can afford to live comfortably. :tup:
