Recent UOA narrative - sent it off last week.
From my UOA via Blackstone Labs - Mobil 1 5w30 with 8000+ miles before the change. Oil did well. No way Im changing at 5000mi.
Oil has come a long way! This car gets good use, high speed and rev's stop and go traffic, and we have seen some higher oil and air temps as well. Bravo Mobil-1!! Car has 14000miles now. Its a daily driver as well. --Dave: Aluminum, iron, copper, and silicon all read a little high in this engine's first sample, but these are common to see in young engines. Your engine is from 2010, but it's still quite low mileage, so we're guessing the highlighted elements (plus aluminum) are due to residual wear-in and not a problem. Silicon, then, would be from factory sealers and sand-casted parts. Averages are based on 4,800 miles for this engine, though you shouldn't have any problems with longer oil runs. The TBN is fine at 2.9. Try 9,000 miles-- |
