What polish do you use? I'm a fan of Nevr Dull, but only because I haven't tried anything else.

It works great, just wipe some on with a paper towel or shop towel, and rub in circles and it will start coming off, you can use liberally if you like. It will come off and you'll see the clean metal, I'll usually give it one last wipe down with this as well. If you see any small black specs (carbon deposits) you can easily pick those off with a fingernail or toothpick. Then just buff out the rest.

Finally, come back with a MF cloth for the final polish, and viola. You see the results. Brings your FI back from used to practically brand new. And the other added bonus, is the more you use it, the longer it takes for deposits to build up later, and they come off even easier.

With the CF can's clearcoat, you could prolly get away with just using windex..

I only do the can's and tips (I have SS cans myself) But this stuff will work on even the piping from muffler-->tip.

That's why I prefer to use this. And so long as you don't use 5 pounds per cleaning, even though they come in small cans, I'm still on my first one 2 years later.

I'm probably going to use Windex for all once the nevr dull runs out. I wish CF would stay clean for more than a few hours. :shakes head:

Why, because the CF doesn't stay clean?

Yup. And because it blends into the satin black paint back there. The SS would just pop against it.

happytheman 08-29-2012 08:34 PM

Offer an even trade with someone in the classifieds. I'm sure someone will take you up on it!

I loooove mine!

Do you drive over a lot of dirt/gravel roads? Not sure why they'd get any dirtier from just road dirt?

I have SS and have been contemplating switching to CF if you're interested...

Also, Birdmanx1 I believe is his tag, he's in the Mid-A thread and has a set of SS rear cans alone for sale in the FS section, you should shoot him a PM.
