Hi, Pint. I've been slacking off. :shakes head: I've mostly been playing tennis. Over the Labor Day weekend, the wife and I went to a friend's cottage on Canandaigua Lake -- drove the Z there -- and we ate grilled salmon, salad, corn on the cob, and banana bread, which I baked. It was a lot of fun. It's a good thing that I'm in shape; we went kayaking, too. It was an all around fun day.

I gotta play a championship tennis match tomorrow evening at my tennis club so I'll be busy tomorrow evening. That'll be the last tournament for me for the season.

Tonight, I gotta do some cooking/baking since the wife is back at work and coaching. She usually does the cooking. I'm okay. I only cook simple stuff and bake occasionally.

I'll have to catch up on what I've missed. I've peeked in to this forum from time to time so I'm not totally gone. It's always open in my browser.

My Z is in the garage today. The forecast said rain so ... I'll take her out tomorrow, though.

:icon17: No but that would be fitting right?

Naa, I wrote it about a person's first exposure to being attacked when you get to your deployed location.

(From first hand experience) I miss it. :(

I just realized something. When winter comes, I won't be able to drive my Z! When I purchased it in December of last year, I got to drive it a lot because we didn't have much of a winter! Unfortunately, the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a return to a normal winter. I knew it wouldn't last. Ah, whatever. I guess that I'll have to live vicariously through you guys.

This is why I enjoy Texas I think. Great driving weather year round except for the possible one week of "winter". Just don't ask us to drive in the rain either, we suck at it.

Yeah, that must be nice. However, we Rochesterians probably have a greater appreciation for our warmer seasons. :p We know that there's an end to the warm weather so we try to enjoy as many activities as we can while it lasts.

What's nice about Rochester is that summers don't usually get very hot. However, this year was an exception. We get hot summers occasionally. I imagine that Texas summers are often very hot.

On the other extreme, I recall summers where only 3 days reached 80 degrees or above in Rochester, NY, and rain fell almost every other day. That's unusual. Normally, our highs are in the mid eighties, and only occasionally do we see temperatures in the upper 80's to 90's. Like I said, this year was an exception with many days in the 90's. We will have hot summers occasionally, but it's not typical.

Still, there's something special about winter ... the beautiful snow, eating hot soup or stew to warm up our bodies, snuggling together under a warm blanket. Winter has its appeal.

As for rain, nah, you should be fine with Michelin PSS's.
