After 8 years, 2 months as an ERP Analyst for Clients First Business Solutions -- today is my last day. I am going to the office to spend the day re-capping the open projects and deals I am on and say my goodbyes. It should be an odd day and of this am fairly certain. After that, I am driving back to the Sacramento airport in the 370 to pick up my 78 year old mom who is visiting for the weekend. She likes spirited Z car driving, so I may indulge her a bit. She will get to see her great-granddaughter Faye for the first time and I told her to also bring her "grubby" clothes so she can help out with some window trim painting.

Have a great day all of my Z brothers and sisters (and honorary daughter Ms. Pint).

Good morning crew :hello:

Looks like the night owls went to bed early last night. I don't have 6 pages of soft core porn to read through this morning. :roflpuke2:

Morning guys. :icon14: Today sux. Had a dr's appt this am. would rather pull my teeth out one at a time. Tonight it is back to work. 36 hours out of 72 hours this weekend. :crying:

Huck 10-19-2012 08:35 AM

Oh man fire, I feel your pain, I hate going back to wook :stirthepot: morning kids, I'll be busy all day long changing 237 ac filters for jc pennys here at the mall.

I'm super sad, I messed up my clear bra the other day, I used the electric pressure washer here at work to get some bugs off of the front of my car, and when I pulled the trigger it was on the jet stream setting instead of the fan, it blew a hole right through my clear bra and peeled a small section up off the bumper. And since my wife decided to toal her car we're not gonna have the extra funds to be able to get it fixed. I need a new, better paying job, or a steady side job :(

nooooooooo, not at all, i swear... that sucks that kinda stuff happens, it happened to me in Colorado, its not fun, I had to have my entire windshield replaced, it sucks..

Huck 10-19-2012 09:23 AM

Well I really am sorry, I just paid to have a decent sized crack filled in my wife's windshield a few months ago.

On a somewhat related note, if you go to deltakits.com they have everything you need to repair it yourself. It's a lot easier than you think, and you could even do it for others as side money. Once you get the tools and supplies, it costs you around 70¢ to fix someone's windshield, and you charge $60-$100 depending on where you live. I'd say that's a good turnaround :)

Mama does need money........
I think I'm just going to head to the carwash close to my house after work and pay the $20 to seal it. *sigh* Is today over with yet? Reallllly not looking forward to my management duties.

eastwest2300 10-19-2012 09:26 AM

Eww, I like the idea of this, thank you sir.

eastwest2300 10-19-2012 09:27 AM

Huck, the kits are kinda pricey... ouch.

Huck 10-19-2012 09:55 AM

You can buy all the stuff separately, and just get what you need to start off then buy more as you go. That's kinda what I did with my headlight restoration stuff. But yeah, it can get pricey.

What the hell kind of insurance are you guys carrying? My automotive insurance will pay 100% for rock chip repair service. And if they have to replace the entire windshield in a worst case scenario, my deductible is only $100. Should be included with any standard comprehensive insurance policy.

I recommend you call your insurance company first. If they do cover it, they will set you up with someone to fix it. Otherwise, call SafeLite if you have to pay for it yourself - it'll cost $50.

Called the guy at Arbor and he said it would be free with my full coverage insurance, I just have to get there before 5. Might as well have them handwax the car since you haven't answered my $50 offer. :rofl2:

:bowrofl: $50 wouldn't have gotten you a wax. I would have washed with the Mr. Clean system and then vacuumed with the shop vac. Plus you would still have to tip me :icon17:

JARblue 10-19-2012 10:49 AM

I'm off to inspect the largest Honda dealership in the world for compliance with accessibility code

Seriously, they had the president of Honda visit a week ago. They have something like 150 service bays
