Tonight was a wedding rehearsal shoot, followed by a spirited drive home from Folsom, CA. I love being the guy in a group whom almost no one knows.

Good AM Everyone :hello: you too, Mr. Kenchan, wherever you are

Leaving soon to get started with breakfast tacos and beer before the Texas vs OU football game. And if you don't like football, please just shut your trap keyboard - I'm not going to start bashing opera or synchronized speed-walking or whatever $hit you waste your time with that isn't football. :rofl2: :p

Just kidding, of course, and no offense to Mrs. BC (or anyone else) since I know how much you despise the game :icon17:

Hook'em Horns!
Texas! Fight!
OU Sucks!

Here's some pics from the State Fair at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas where the game is held every year. We generally go every year, but my wife's best friend decided to get married this weekend :shakes head: First one is with my lovely wife, Melody, prior to entering the stadium. Second photo is with my best man with our awesome game day shirts (yes, I will be donning it in just a few moments here, and yes, it was extremely hot that day and I sweat... a lot :icon17:).

Football in Texas is just like Taxation in Maryland.

There's too much of it already, but the people usually clamor for more.

Great for Texans, not so great for Marylanders.

GaleForce 10-13-2012 08:49 AM

Good morning everyone :hello:

It's a slow start for me this AM. I feel like I killed a box of beer and anything else I could drink last night. But no booze was had last night, just awake for most of the night comforting a sick Mini Force. I think he has Mr.alcheng's H1N1 virus. lol.

I was able to open up the box to look at my gauges last night too. Unfortunately the boost gauge looks like it was used (dented and scratched) :shakes head: I will take pictures and message Jomer at Fred Bean Nissan. Hopefully he can get another one sent out to me. The other gauges and the controller are fine.

I will be happy when I finish this car. There is only a hand full of products/deals that have gone smoothly with this build, the rest has been a nightmare :ugh2:

Having said that, I should start at WIP, Journal or a Project thread.

GaleForce 10-13-2012 08:57 AM

I also received a really cool rep from an anonymous donor. The rep was about booooooost and from the "Poll on who has FI" thread. I would like to repay the rep if possible.

GaleForce 10-13-2012 09:48 AM

Good news, Jomer at Fred Beans is right on top of things! He's doing his best to get this looked after right away! Great customer service! This is why I keep buying parts from him.

eastwest2300 10-13-2012 10:03 AM

Good morning peeps...

eastwest2300 10-13-2012 10:07 AM

Hey guys and gals, I got a question for ya, I was driving my S2000, the car's got a cold air intake system, and it was raining pretty hard, long story short, I was behind a car, and that car went through some pretty high standing water, and it was too late for me to swerve around it, and I ended up going through it as well, about 20 minutes later as I was driving, I attempted to shift around 6K rpm, and I felt the engine's power drop BIG TIME and saw a lot of smoke come from the exhaust.

Im letting the car sit idle for a good hour..any thoughts or recommendations, please chime in.

Water might had get in through the CAI, it should be ok just let it sit for an hour.

If it's been more than a hour, you can try to start the car, should be fine....

I've let it run... its still running, I put it in each gear and revved it up to about 7k rpm.. damn, Im just kinda worried.

The engine reacted like it was being punched in the gut when I was driving.

eastwest2300 10-13-2012 10:35 AM

Thanks Alcheng
