Hey everyone! I've missed you guys! I've been really busy with this whole wife wrecking her car thing, I hate paperwork and calling people with a passion, and I've been doing nothing but.

So her car was a total loss, over $10k worth of damage. So the insurance is sending us a check for $6200 for the car, we just have to sign the title over to them. Well the junk yard that it's sitting at is like an hour away, so that's a pain to drive. Then my wife gets called into work today, so I had to wake up at 6am to drive her to the airport. We stop at the junkyard first and sign the release form do that our insurance can pick it up. Then I look at our title and realize that it's not a title, it's the application/certificate of title. Grr. So I call the bank and after 30 minutes of playing guess what I'm saying with the stupid female computer voice I finally get ahold of a real person. They tell me that the title was an electronic copy, so they'll have to send me a form to take to the DMV to get the hard copy. I won't get the form till sometime next week, then I have to spend all day at the DMV hell hole. Then I have to send that to my insurance. Then they have to go get the car. Then they will send me a check. By then I'm sure that the used car my wife and I found for a great deal the other day will be gone, just because she liked it so much. Anything else would be too simple.

Huck 10-05-2012 02:24 PM

Haha no problem, thanks for the well wishes guys. I'll hang in there, one thing at a time. We're just getting a decent car to hold her over, and then maybe in 2 years or something get her the Audi that she wants. I had her sold on a 350z until she remembered that there's no trunk or space. She wants to take her friends and all her stuff everywhere lol.

I've generally always been the one willing to drive (cause I can't stand riding with people who drive like idiots), and cram as many people as possible in my car. We fit seven people in my old 04 Accord coupe plus an 8th person in the trunk to go to a football game once  Now, I honestly enjoy telling people that I don't have room for them :icon17:

LunaZ 10-05-2012 02:37 PM

Drove it to work today. I think it's been two weeks since she's left the driveway. Nice way to start my day.

Same here, I used to haul everyone around all the time, now I just want everyone to leave me alone. I don't want anyone putting their stupid music in my CD player, or asking me to turn it up, or anything like that. I'll just meet you there lol...;)

I feel ya on the busy day, things picked up after lunch. :(
I think I'm going to hit the outdoors today after work. Tomorrow will probably go for a drive around town, attend a party at my coworkers recording studio and hit up a late night car show. Sunday morning is Cars and Coffee! I'm probably riding in with my boss in the R8.

Huck, may I recommend the AudioTechnica Pro 24CM. Its the external mic I use for my go-pro. Its also the one Steve uses unless he has upgraded by now (which I wouldnt put past him :icon17:) Very affordable and pretty good sound quality. Here is a pic of mine and where I mount it

That sounds quite good, Mr. Alchemy.

I have a question --- do you run ENEOS engine oil? Are you happy with it? I am on my third O/C with it and am not so sure I am going to continue using it. Its viscosity does not seem to hold up well.

I believe it was only about $50. Quite a steal if you ask me. Plus since its on the cheap side I dont worry about breaking it

Currently Im not running Eneos engine oil. I have and loved it. The car ran smoother than with any other oil I have tried. It even made my shifts feel smoother, somehow:confused: A buddy of mine also claimed when he used it in his TL-S that the shifts felt smoother. IDK how that is possible though. Call me crazy but I also feel like I felt a power increase when running the Eneos, which they do claim you get. Currently Im running Elf synthetic, nothing special. I have Eneos in my dif currently as well. If Eneos was readily available at a local store its all I would run. Ordering it and paying for shipping and what not is a pain.
