The story:

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Actor Johnny Palermo, who appeared in more than 30 television shows in his brief career, died June 8 in an early morning car accident in North Hollywood, Calif. He was 27.

His girlfriend, Alessandra Giangrande, who was driving at the time, also was killed, and her brother suffered serious injuries. Palermo and Giangrande were pronounced dead at the scene.

Palermo was a regular on the Nickelodeon series "Just for Kicks" and appeared in three episodes of the CW's "Everybody Hates Chris" as Frank DiPaolo, Chris' overgrown classmate.

Palermo also appeared in "Cold Case," "General Hospital," "CSI: Miami," "Rules of Engagement," "How I Met Your Mother" and "CSI: NY." This fall, the native of Rochester, N.Y., can be seen in the indie film "Pizza With Bullets."

i was there about 15 seconds after the car crashed, before we even got dispatched. it was a scion TC, and the picture do not show how bad it was. the transmission was on the other side of the street, the center console was 75 FT infront of the car, and the battery was down the street. the driver got ejected and hit a power pole. ill save the rest of the gory stuff....but it was pretty bad. :shakes head:

the brother (who was in the backseat) was the only one that lived. he later stated at the hospital they were leaving a bar, so i would assume so. the car smelled of alcohol as well.

the front two were not wearing their seat belts, and in this case, probably caused them to loose their live since the most serious injury was from the ejection.

the part i never figured out, is, the driver ended up just outside of the driver door.....with the scion TC key (looked perfect, no damage) in her right hand. WTF???
