Has anyone else noticed?

A HUGE increase in necro-bumping by newbie members? Numerous times I've caught myself commenting on a thread that was up to two years old after someone with 11 posts revived it.

archives ftw

MattP725 06-24-2012 11:09 AM

Does this site even archive? Maybe it's time.

If someone posts a question without searching, people bitch. If people search and add to an old thread, people bitch...

True.

Necro is just as annoying as a 30th thread. New people will have questions. Patience is a virtue.

We bitch at newbs who make new threads instead of posting in old ones ...
We bitch when newbs post old threads ...

Apparently, there is no scenario where newbs don't get bitched at.

They could read the old threads and then only make a new one if their question wasn't answered.

See the first point.

Awwwww, everyone should feel welcome here.

:tiphat: Hi Shado-patience IS a virtue-my mom told me so. I was only referring to the original post, I do feel pretty welcome and don't normally feel like I cannot comment...I may be as addicted to lurking in this forum as I am to my BC Rocket!

If it hasn't been answered, nobody should be telling them to search.

I personally prefer a revival rather a new thread. Tiny bit less clutter.
