Scam Help
Alright so I purchased a pair of Jordans on Craigslist but paid via PayPal to be on the safe side. The seller sent me the address and I added the 3% charge, he shipped the shoes and all. All seemed well until I tracked the package and it says it was delivered but not to my address. So PayPal will not cover the transaction because the tracking shows that he delivered it to my city, state and zipcode which mind you does not prove that he used my address.
I have seen how people on the boards are able to track down these scumbags so can anyone help me out. Please let me know, I have seen how people are traced all the time, hopefully someone can help. Below is the craigslist add he used.... 2012 Jordan 4 White Cement SIZE 8.5 9.5 10 retro |
first mistake is to take shipment on a craigslist item.
if he shipped it he needed to ship it to your paypal verified address, if he can't prove he did that and that it was signed for by you at that address they will side with you. |
I never signed for any package and it never arrived at my home, but Paypal states that as long as its delivered to my zip code and city that it is sufficient.... I'm really pisted about that....

Bank of America cannot do anything because I didn't use my credit card I used a electronic withdrawal to PayPal....this really sucks...I was hoping someone would trace the guys IP address

I have made a mistake like this before with a purchase from China, I argued with my financial institution who tried to pin it on VISA and PayPal... but if you have fraud protection then this is what it's for IMO... long story short ...I took it all the way to the CEO of my credit union and refunded. PayPal offers no help... good luck

Anything that is electronic (ACH, checkcard, etc) falls under regulation E and every bank complies with that! Your bank is ******** all over your face.

If that dude used UPS or Fedex, file a claim with the shipping company?
