I know all about that attitude. I worked amongst military personnel for a long time.

You know what? It doesn't matter. Do what you want, offend the marine corps to your heart's content. You won't hear me trash talk them.

Lemers 11-08-2011 03:52 PM

And you've never heard a marine trash talk the Army?:shakes head:

shadoquad 11-08-2011 03:56 PM

Edit: Honestly, I'm taking ish too personally.

I'm sorry that I offended you and most importantly any marines that may have read the posts. I want to say that I truly don't believe that every marine is an abuser.

that was the point, i was trying to make lulz because I know some extremely smart army folks... Lemers knows I am just messing with him... you have to serve to know...

i also think it's all situational.. depends on what each of them had to go through, whether or not they had a good support system before/during/after service, and their state of mind

It also has to do with what type of person is attracted to each service.

You can go to a high school and put all the graduates planning on enlisting into the military and separate out those who want to be a marine. They are the ones who believe the hype and want to emulate the stereo type of what it is to be a marine. Marine basic only brainwashes and stresses these "kids" even more

this is exactly it... but its not always the case... There are indeed good and bad in every branch, and every branch will rag on another.... and to be honest, no one gets picked on more then the navy.. lol

and Red, Im glad you have some friends in the Marines.. Im pretty sure I have however, had more exposure to the culture, and the life style.. I mean I was deployed with them after all, were you? no, didn't think so.

This is now the "Military Branch Stereotyping Thread".

Shall we move the target from the Marines to the Army?

Because I'm in favor of not bashing any of those who are currently serving, but what do I know?

you can bash the AF all you want... just don't forget to make fun of the coast guard too

I was just correcting the grammar and not referring to the content of that sentence :p

That's coming from someone who doesn't know what's going on or what military leaders are trying to do about it. Why these stats have gone up in all services. You see me and isamu going back and forth all the time about army and AF. Our feelings don't get hurt it's part of military life just like rivals of sports teams. In the end we are all brothers in the service and will work to raise up those who need it follow those who lead and remove those who can't adjust to the military lifestyle.

you are 100% correct. I know plenty of guys who have swapped branches... marines to AF, AF to army, army to Marines... but no one every goes to the navy from another branch... lol. All in all, they will all talk **** about their previous branch, and all other branches of service. but when I was deployed they weren't Marines, or soldiers, they were fellow military personal...

I would gladly sit in a fox hole with you man, not just because you have those shiny oak leaves either...

I try not to fix other peoples posts (unless it adds to my point). I know I have a lot of errors because of thinking faster than I can type and this stupid autocorrect.

Wow,i missed out on a bunch. two questions:
How many Marines does it take to screw in a light bulb?
( Click to show/hide )
50, 1 to screw in the bulb and 49 to guard him.

How many federal employees does it take to screw in a light bulb?
( Click to show/hide )
Sorry, that item was cut from the budget!

A young man with a wild and multi-coloured hairstyle sits next to an old man on a park bench. The old man stares at the young man.

"What's the matter, old man?" says the young man. "Never done anything crazy in your life?"

The old man replies: "Yeah. When I was in the Navy, I got really drunk one night and had sex with a parrot. I thought you might be my son."

There once was a pirate named Bates,
Who danced the Fandango on skates.
He fell on his cutlass
Which rendered him nutless
And practically useless on dates!
