Well you could farm in the enclosed space and send groups out to collect supplies. It would be tough but you could expand if you needed to over time. Of course it depends on how many zombies there are. If there are too many and you are surrounded, well you're going to starve most likely.

Also how would one find out if food sources are contaminated and if animals can get zombiefied. You would need livestock and crops. both renewable resources, gun powder would run out rather quickly. me thinks, KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Windpower is a must, but it will have to augmented by some other form of energy. How about getting a bunch of bicycles and rigging them up to electrical generators and running shifts?

That way, everyone will be in shape in case we have to run away. :icon17:

Also, once we run out of gunpowder, it will become a melee game. We will need to train the population how to use swords.

To actually answer your question, here's what I bring to the table:

Skills & Experience:
I have at least 60 hours of watching survivorman and dual survivor.
I have watched every Walking Dead episode on AMC at least once
I am not a picky eater
I do not have any known alergies
I have a fully functioning reproductive system
I am a knot tying expert
I have a degree in electronics engineering & technical project management
I have vast experience in designing and building electromechanical weapons systems (simple to very complex)
I know how to manipulate mindless wandering idots
I can snare, decapatate, and use the zombie bodies to build a wall
I know how to hunt and properly butcher mammals
I am a good negotiator and do not freak out when the pressure is turned up
When it comes to rifles and other non-nuclear weapons, "I know a guy"
I have very good strategic thinking skills and can hold my own in a game of chess or checkers
I am left handed but can think like a right hander when needed
I am well versed in the use of the mighty katana sword
I am well versed in the use of nunchakus for fighting
I know where several easily defendable caves are located all of which are near running mountain streams/rivers
I own not one, but two very nice leatherman multi-tools

And I have stippers!:owned:

We would need to quickly develop while the resource rush is happening, a test set for contamination. water sources are going to be a big thing. wind power is a must. barricaded farms maybe moreso, a connected network of barricaded community farms that could be cut off from the rest if one part gets compromised. A true democracy or dictactorship would be the only way.

Islands are a good idea, especially volcanic ones. Volcanic ash makes for extremely fertile soil.

I'd say these are my credentials as well, but I don't know how many other men I want around besides me with a fully functioning reproductive system!

Have you guys heard about that CDC article that came out asking citizens to be prepared? Glad to know that if I see a fellow 370z member rolling around we can count on each other. The price of admission my friends!

As a species we will have to either become hunter/gatherers again or farmers. At least for a little while anyway. Farming would the easier transition because we can stay in one place, but that would be a lot of land try and barricade off and police effectively. Land requirements would only increase the more survivors you locate. Becoming hunter/gathers would just be stressful with never knowing if one was actually safe.

This is why I think an island is ideal. Nice natural barrier, room to expand with population growth, and once the zombie population had been dealt with, no risk of infection.

Just need some large boats that can carry alot of initial supplies and population. A couple cruise ships should do. Will need to raid all the liquor stores though. Thankfully, our GPS system will still work and we can locate them all being satellites and all. :happydance:

zombies can walk underwater bro... they don't need air

I would gather a few of the SP's a few Loaders and a couple of Maintainers...

we would load the Buff with weapons... conventional and Nuclear...

then we would fly a pattern around Minot and nuke the areas surroundin...

then land back on the AFB...

we have weapons and supplies and bitchs to repopulate the world with
