Maybe you should give these guys a call. They give free consults.

Alabama Speeding Ticket | Alabama Speeding Laws Violations | Traffic Attorney Lawyer in Alabama

Alabama Speeding Ticket Attorney | Birmingham Traffic Violation Lawyer | Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Mobile, AL

:google:

Oh, and I was right about the over 25mph threshold. In AL it's considered "Excessive speeding" and has more of an adverse impact on your insurance rates as well as points on your license.

I think you need to go to the precinct and explain to them the differences between the 350z and 370z to make sure they don't make that mistake again.

A friend of mine went to court to fight a ticket because the cop wrote down the wrong intersection. The judge handed the ticket to the cop and told him to write the correct intersection on it. My friend thought she surely was going to win because of that technicality. She ended up paying the fine and court fees.

Lol I knew the old check trick and it used to work.. it actually was the case for quite sometime, however the courts got smart to it and it doesnt work now. and i honestly dont know how fast i was going.. i mean you know how it is when ur just out riding around lol. imma pay it and just count it as a loss.. the more i think of it the more ithink imlucky that i was in the z and not on my bike.. cause i do know how fast i run that road on my bike lol. moral of the story was i was speeding i got caught.. i suppose it doesnt matter if he wrote down a 350z 370z or a fiesta.. at the end of the day he still got me.

see if you can get a attorney to handle it for you, costs about $300 or so but they can usually get it off your record.

Hater cop stuff for giving you a ticket? You were doing 69 in a 45. Before you try to talk trash how about this. Stop being a moron by driving so fast and you wont get tickets. You were speeding and got caught. Man up and pay for your mistakes.

"not really paying attention"......oldest bs in the book.

eddieconfetti 10-14-2011 11:24 AM

just be a man and pay it. even though info is wrong on ticket, it doesnt matter. besides, everything is recorded (most of the times)

Baconboy 10-14-2011 11:42 AM

There is a system in place to get the fine reduced or eliminated. It's not just about "guilty" or "not guilty" they will have your driving history etc.

I had a case where I was admittedly guilty, the judge saw that I had a bad driving history when I was younger but I have been 100% clean for the last 7 years. She thanked me for changing my driving habits and rewarded me by dismissing the incident.

If you have the time & energy, go for it!

Ease up guys, lol. He already said he's going to pay it, he was speeding and got caught. No need to tell him to man up when he already did.

So how fast were you really going? 69? Sounds like this cop was giving you a break by deliberately writing it for just under 70, because in many jurisdictions, once you exceed the speed limit by 25mph or more, it gets ugly (e.g., mandatory arrest and impound in some areas).

In some places over 20 mph of the posted speed limit is a reckless driving ticket too.

Thanks in advance!

Doesn't matter what car, you were in it. I've had them call my cars other things, too. Doesn't matter if they have YOUR DL # on the ticket.

This is a urban legend. Here's no easy way to get out of paying for a ticket.
