Gallardo Record 9.1 sec

Saw this on NAGTROC today...
Underground Racing Gallardo!

9.1@169mph

Vbox data showed a 3.5 second 60-130 on that run, along with a 4.2 second 60-130 on another run punching the throttle from a steady 59mph.

Damn, that's an insane run.

Spec Jay 04-28-2009 09:16 PM

they should be in the 8's with a better launch

AK370Z 04-28-2009 09:27 PM

HOLY SH*T!

yeah, that was the slowest reaction time ever, I counted off 1 sec after the green light
He revs up his engine after the green, very bizarre. They should be able to pull off mid 8's with
the right launch/driver.

The clock doesn't actually start until you leave the line. If I were going for a best ETA and not racing someone else, I wouldn't watch the light either. I would take my time to make sure I was at the right RPM for a perfect launch. :driving:

I was thinking the same thing.

You are correct sir, I was thinking about reaction time (racing) and not a timed run

Yeah I don't know if you can get much faster than that, though I know it's a goal of theirs...

Sure you can...

... just not in a production street car :)

WShade 04-30-2009 06:01 PM

I can not believe that no one commented on this thing pulling the front wheels off the ground.

LOL! Yeah that might be just a bit more than street!

First thing I noticed was the front wheels off the ground.

I like the Gallardo a lot. Very cool looking car. It's not over the top either. I'd pick the Gallardo as a track car over the LP-670 any day.

I'd rather drive the LP-670 as a daily :D

370Ztune 05-04-2009 12:11 PM

I don't know.. I'm still liking the Zonda-R from previous posts for the track. Maybe the new Aston DB-S for street.
