Joseph,

I am not sure were you are getting your information. We are not sending your wheels to the powdercoater for the third time, and there is no way you can powdercoat a wheel that many times as it will affect the intergrity of the wheels.

I am getting my information from my dealer, where I was told to go for "more details". I was told in June they had already been finished and were ready to have the bolt holes drilled and pinstriped. I was told this week that you had to bring the wheels back to the powdercoater again after you just got them back, and they they are awaiting to be re-finished right now.

I'm looking for some answers directly from you. Why have my wheels so far taken 10 weeks to produce? Why do I keep getting told that they are "shipping this week", only to be told that they have been delayed yet again? Why should I keep my order after waiting so long, when I could have a different set of wheels at my door in less than a week? If I don't cancel my order, when will they be completed and shipped out of your facility, no more BS?

Joe

bah, that doesn't tell me the type of aluminum. but it's flow formed, which (according to the site) means castings. i guess i can assume A356 material properties...maybe A357, but dunno.

but i've read into the anneal temperatures for that particular material, and it goes at around 325°F. since you say they're running 450°F, even if it's only an hour, there's definitely a chance that the material will degrade in terms of fatigue life of the wheel.

so doing it three times is not helping the longevity of your wheels...
BUT THIS IS ALL MY OWN CONJECTURE. not tryin' to scare you or nothin'.

EDIT: i'm hella slow when i think about engineering, hahahaha. belated post.
