Morning Peeps

Caravanshaka 10-10-2009 10:34 AM

mornin' fusz...if you missed it last night, forgestar offered to make me a complete new set, ship it to me, pay to have my tires mounted and balanced, and then ship the old set back to them all at their cost.

This was after I shot down there offer of an extra $300 discount to keep my current wheels and remove all of my posts about them as well as my avatar :rofl2:

So the question is are you though?

Caravanshaka 10-10-2009 11:09 AM

I'll prob take the new set of wheels, and hopefully I can have the vossens in-hand before the new set arrives and I can sell the new set as new instead of used.

Trips 10-10-2009 11:12 AM

hey Caravan, it look like things are working out for the better.

Sounds good, you have a PM Cara.
So I just got back from doing oil change number two, lunch time and hungry. Thinking pizza but do not want to order a full pizza from the generic places, any good places you guys know of that might be in Houston?

Sounds like a plan.
Do they have an account on here, or do they just lurk?

8 guests right now.... way below the 15 ticket sale minimum Trip requires.....

frost 10-10-2009 11:21 AM

I meant the forgestar folks. I assume they don't have an account on this board, but just lurk to read caravans posts.

Entertainment is a strong part of the thread and must be marketed accordingly!

frost 10-10-2009 11:53 AM

Indeed. If it werent for the entertainment, I'd be watching porn.

I have spacers ordered, then going to change out the sways, then a full blown high end stereo. After that, probably exhaust. Next spring when it gets warm, I might do an oil cooler, it gets damn hot here in the summer, ambient temps way over 100.

frost 10-10-2009 12:11 PM

It got to 118 here this summer, no probs running the z in stop n go traffic.

Trips 10-10-2009 12:16 PM

that sound's cool! I only have had time to do the Berk Hfc's so next are the stillen gen3 followed by the fi exhaust.

We had quite a few days of 100 degree air temps, ambient temps on the pavement parked were 115/117. The Z when pushed, then followed by gridlock (I have that combination on the drive home from work), would routinely hit 250 to 260. I know this is below "limp mode", and not sure the long term affects on the durability of the engine (not intended to start a hot debate), but dropping the oil temps 30 degrees with a cooler will allow the car to perform better. I notice when the temps get that hi it seems to be more sluggish.

John

frost 10-10-2009 12:18 PM

I've heard reports on the sluggish problem. Hasn't been an issue yet :knock on wood:
