My current setup (tC):

Subs:
2x Kicker S10L7's
1x Kicker KX 1200.1
Custom Kicker Ported Box

Doors:
2x Kicker SS6.5's
1x ZX250.2

HU:
Panasonic CQ-C9701

If you go to the z closure web site they actually have boxes made for the kicker subs should work fine. If you want to step up for quality look at Image dynamcis for speakers. Or the kickers will work as well.

I've always been told Kicker is a very good (quality) brand... And I've been plesantly pleased with mine. I got the 2 subs for $375, when they originally cost $400 each hehehe. I know how to work deals =)

But yeah, they have always sounded wonderful, even with just the single amp... I can't imagine how it would be if I had them at full potential. Another good quality of the tC, I have zero sound damping material built into the car, however even with the stereo up pretty loud, you can barely hear it standing next to the car.

if i were to put a system in my z, i'd keep it rather basic...

i would want a enclosure that I could keep my spare (sport) and only have a 10 inch sub. 2 small amps and a cap to power the speakers with out drawing alot of power from the battery. obviously I would want it all hidden.

is this too much to ask for?

Yes. It's so simple it's complicated... It will cost twice as much as a big elaborate exposed system lol.

I could do most of the install. Just need a box really.

FuszNissan 09-08-2009 02:59 PM

A lot of the 350 guys made a couple sub enclosures that went in the corner cubby in back by the taillights. And had them at a slight angle. Looked really clean and you couldn't see them because the hatch would cover them.

xiven 09-08-2009 03:02 PM

i saw a thread on here and they had a custom box with blue neons (leds???) made but it didn't involve keeping the spare. i really like his setup.

FuszNissan 09-08-2009 03:05 PM

Here is my old set up, and I got to keep the spare. This is why I wish they kept the strut tower. Perfect sub enclosure

phelan 09-08-2009 03:07 PM

but the strut tower takes away all my cargo space... :(

xiven 09-08-2009 03:08 PM

that's nice. that would be overkill for me :)

FuszNissan 09-08-2009 03:09 PM

Yeah, I was young at the time. Didn't know any better.

I'm impatient and I know how to change a tire

XwChriswX 09-08-2009 03:23 PM

Well yeah, I can change a tire just fine, I just wanna be able to get it in/out of the trunk lol

FuszNissan 09-08-2009 03:23 PM

I just lift up the floor board and pull out my spare. It was set up to get to it. The floor board had a hinge

TX_370 09-08-2009 03:29 PM

I'm working on my set up and have been talking to Audio about the gear (def go to him if you have questions, guy is an audio guru :p ). I'm thinking of using a false floor, I dont really need the cargo space have a truck for that, and AAA if anything bad happened :)

you might keep them. i can't remember remember how many times i've gotten compliments on my wheels, especially this past weekend at the beach. everybody thinks they are custom. i'm like nope they come with the car.

bigaudiofanat 09-08-2009 04:24 PM

Ya the first time I saw them was on AK's car when he missed my driveway going slow I was like darn. Than when he came back and pulled in and stopped I was like OMG they are hot. I will probably keep them.
