ok, for the hood.....some fellas painted the hood but left the vents CF and faded it in

The same reason a race car has painted carbon fiber (weight savings & then painted to match the rest).

I'm just a function > form guy.

There's no CF on my car because it isn't a race car.

Except that lip, but uh... I want to paint it.
