I'm sure I'd hate it. I like to be more hands on. In all honesty there isn't a whole lot I think I could do for a living that i'd truly enjoy doing every day.. luckily for me though, I at least know what i'd enjoy doing... thats half the battle huh.

I would do it for like 5 years max, given you don't make a single mistake or it's the boot, then settle in with a bank or such.

I hate what I do, but as mentioned, it's a government job with rockin benefits. If I tough it out, I can retire at 55 with half of my highest annual salary.

Actually, I thought it was pretty cool. I had to turn it off after the third game due to my addictive personality, between work, school, and you guys, I just can't fit in another project :D

bigaudiofanat 08-31-2009 08:54 PM

I am in college for a master in computer science and networking. Considering I built my first computer at age 7 and self taught myself everything I know about computers and car audio. "No lie" I think I should do fine. Than find a good job and start settling down around 28-30

smurfblu13 08-31-2009 08:55 PM

wow it's already 10 pm. I haven't eaten dinner or anything yet. FML

Yea man, sounds like you got it all figured out. That is half, well actually probably may more than half, the battle. Took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do.

I know what you mean. I have been looking for just a job for 13 months now. :shakes head: One reason I do car audio install on the side and computer work as well.

You're young though mate. And these are crazy times.
Kids are competing with people with masters degrees for jobs at the movie theater.

smurfblu13 08-31-2009 09:01 PM

well thanks guys for making not want to graduate.

Very true that is whay I do audio installs and computer repairs. Many people do not want to play with a 34,000 dollar car. I DO

Z34drifty 08-31-2009 09:02 PM

How long was I gone? That Game is addicting. Well got to go again going Jogging.

Togo 08-31-2009 09:02 PM

It's like the opposite really. Over the last two years, we have watched the bachelors degree become what a high school education was. You almost have to have one just to be able to keep company with every other job seeker.

Also true. The really fucked up thing was I read somewhere that with what most people graduate with in student loans, the high school grad is making more money take home each month for like the first 10 years over hte guy with a BA..

huh? I am graduating college not high school. I'm confused lol.

frost 08-31-2009 09:07 PM

I know, I'm saying you have to have a college degree now so it's good youre getting it. Because where a high school diploma used to be the min for a job, I think over the last two years we have seen the bachelors become the min.

he's just saying a BA degree now a days is like a HS Diploma was 20 years ago. BAs are common place now a days and to be truly competitive with a lot of jobs you need some sort of graduate degree...
