Current Status: Drywall taping and mudding.

That is all.

sorry don't think less of me.. but do you mean mudding as in SUV or truck out in some fun situations, or something else snowballing from dry walling??

That makes me think of when my mom taught me at age 11 how to tape and mud. Good memories. :D

Whats funny is I'm using that adhesive tape. It cuts my time in half. The pros use paper, but I'm a slacker when it comes to drywall. :happydance:

When are you going to get that place done? You should start another thread with your project.

BanningZ 06-28-2009 04:30 AM

Not a bad idea. Have to dig up some old pictures.

Today I closed up a wall that my mom, our workers, and myself signed When we started the Lower kitchen.

On the inside of the lath and plaster It says,
"Remodeling started 11-05,
Mariann O.,
Garrett O.,
Alex G.,
Luciano L."

Before I sealed it up today I wrote,

"RIP Mariann O. 09-2006 (Mother)
Finished July 2009
Garrett O. (Survived son)
Laura N (Fiancee to son, soon to be wife 10-10-2010)
July 2009.

FINISHED"

We do this because the people who remodeled the house in the 60's did the same thing.

House history. It a good thing.

Edit: also my moms estate took almost three years to end, and the property in hand could not be worked on as a result of assets being held for dispersion Thats why it took three years to finish this place.

For those that dont know, I own a very large Victorian triplex. i live in the largest apartment (1800sq/ft)and Will have renters in the front lower apartment on the first as well as the upper apartment.. I have taken a gutted kitchen and bathroom in the last two weeks and made them into living ready rooms. I place cabinets, and the asb drains tomorrow, as well as sink, counter top placement.

I was asleep at 10:30 last night. Awesome.

It worked out, though-- I wanted to watch the third place game of the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Am I the only one here who likes soccer?

theDreamer 06-28-2009 11:22 AM

No, I enjoy it also, though I over slept and only caught the extra minutes. Heard it was a great game though.

cow 06-28-2009 11:49 AM

The match was boring until about seventy minutes in. After that, it was one of the better matches I've seen.

Honestly, I don't know why they use paper. They talked me into using that stuff at home depot. I got hone, gave it about 30 minutes of trial and failure before I drove right back and got the adhesive tape.
