Do you know if it's a one-on-one or a panel interview?

The way I've always learned it when you go for an interview dress one up from the dress code. If its casual dress go business casual, if it's business causal go business and so on.

You gonna wear a suit?

Yeah I was debating wearing a tie.

My other question, is black slacks or Khaki slacks.

It was black slacks with a tan colored shirt and black dress shoes.

I dont really like khaki slacks

^Whats awful is Alex and I are totally John C. Reilly, and Will Ferrel when we get together.

I totally wiped my nuts on his drum set.

Well I was thinking Khaki slacks for Business casual.

Maybe I'll go black. Blue shirt.

TX_370 10-10-2009 05:49 PM

Banning, it was also a full button down not a polo style; forgot to mention that >.>

I haven't decided for sure I kind of lack black slacks. I'll probably go with shirt and tie and slacks though.

BanningZ 10-10-2009 05:50 PM

I could wear my 3 piece wool pinstripes. lol.

Go all gangster on them.

TX_370 10-10-2009 05:51 PM

Gotta run, laterz peeps!

Like I said, sure you know this stuff, but:
Do your best to memorize the name of anyone you meet, especially the interviewers. When they ask questions, respond with their name, "well john ..."
Treat the secretary like the CEO, many times we will ask the secretary his/her thoughts, and it has made a difference in who I have hired.
Like mentioned, dress one up from what you would expect them to be wearing. If they wear polos, you wear a long sleeve dress shirt, if they wear long sleeve dress shirts, you wear one with a tie, so on and so on.
Practice in the mirror. I know this sounds like one of those lame/queer things to do, but responding to common questions "out loud" will help you be more casual about it when the time actually comes.
This always works for me: Assume I will NOT get the job. If I go into an interview thinking there is no way in hell I will get the job, I am much more casual (and therefore speak better).

If you have a great shirt you already plan to wear, I can tell you what color pants you should probably wear.
