Entertainment is a strong part of the thread and must be marketed accordingly!

Indeed. If it werent for the entertainment, I'd be watching porn.

I have spacers ordered, then going to change out the sways, then a full blown high end stereo. After that, probably exhaust. Next spring when it gets warm, I might do an oil cooler, it gets damn hot here in the summer, ambient temps way over 100.

It got to 118 here this summer, no probs running the z in stop n go traffic.

that sound's cool! I only have had time to do the Berk Hfc's so next are the stillen gen3 followed by the fi exhaust.

We had quite a few days of 100 degree air temps, ambient temps on the pavement parked were 115/117. The Z when pushed, then followed by gridlock (I have that combination on the drive home from work), would routinely hit 250 to 260. I know this is below "limp mode", and not sure the long term affects on the durability of the engine (not intended to start a hot debate), but dropping the oil temps 30 degrees with a cooler will allow the car to perform better. I notice when the temps get that hi it seems to be more sluggish.

I've heard reports on the sluggish problem. Hasn't been an issue yet :knock on wood:

What I have noticed with 7A is if i keep it D it doesn't see 220 even in 95 degree, but when I'm on the Paddle's it will run a little bit warmer on the oil temp.

There are people who swear that this has no bearing, but I am not sure I agree. We are VERY humid here, and that heat is accompanied with humidity levels at 80 to 90% sometimes in mid-summer. When the temps change for the season, like they have now, the air temp not only drops, but the humidity does also. The car runs great in that cooler dense air!

That's good to know trip, although I beat the paddles pretty good when I first got the car, now-a-days I save it for the couple times a week traffic will allow for spirited driving.

Trips 10-10-2009 12:25 PM

thats very true! the car does feel better in those conditions.

frost 10-10-2009 12:28 PM

Despite my anti-beater rants, I'm still thinking of picking up that baja I told you guys about. Although the money could be spent in many better places, I hate seeing my Z rack up the miles.
