Some of the noobish posts were starting to get on my nerves, so I figured I could either (a) take a break from the forum, or (b) have an online hissy/meltdown about the general idiocy of some posts like one other forum member did recently (who I shall refrain from naming, lol). Specialty Summary:
Manages and operates aerospace control and warning systems, including functions involving electronic countermeasures (ECM) and counter-countermeasures (ECCM), surveillance, data link management, identification, and weapons control. Performs as crew member of operational unit in functions of air weapons control. Responsible for safety of flight for air operations being controlled.

Gathers, displays, records, and distributes operational information. Coordinates with and exchanges air movement and identification information among air defense and air control, range control, and air traffic control agencies on matters pertaining to aircraft operations. Operates data link equipment and other automated data exchange devices to gather and relay operation information. Reports emergency signals, and ECM observations. Maintains logs, forms, and data base files. Evaluates radar detection and performance. Maintains liaison with air defense artillery, and surface and naval fire units to ensure safe passage of friendly air traffic.

Performs ECCM functions. Maintains maximum radar sensitivity using ECCM techniques to eliminate degradation caused by electronic warfare (EW) activities or other influences. Monitors operation of radar inputs and counter-measure consoles, anti-jamming displays, and radar sensors to enhance radar presentations. Recommends procedures and techniques to improve effectiveness of ECM and ECCM activities.

Performs training, planning, standardization and evaluation, and other staff duty functions. Performs staff assistance visits to subordinate units. Test and evaluates capabilities of new equipment and propriety of new procedures.

Specialty Qualifications:

Knowledge. Knowledge is mandatory of: characteristics and limitations of aerospace surveillance and reporting systems; aircraft and weather detection and tracking; communication equipment capabilities and limitations; radar console and data link equipment presentations; receiving, recording and relaying system information; radar and radio capabilities and limitations; fixed and mobile command and control system characteristic; aircraft control procedures and techniques; aircraft performance characteristics and armament; and meteorology concerning air weapons control operations.

Thats about 25% of it.. thats like I said very broad, cause it covers the whole 1C5X1 career field. I'm more specifically focused on the weapons sections being a 'D shred'.

My wife made us breakfast, fried eggs and corn beef. I trimmed the hedges, mowed the lawn. Washed the car, and cleaned the front seats with Rug Doctor upholster cleaner. The seats came out pretty good, I've never done it before. I'm pleased with the results I got.

today on my way back from the gym, something happened that helped me finalize my decision on the new car...

i had my ipod headphones on full volume when all of a sudden the suv i was in shook wildly to the left soon after i heard VROOMOOOOOOOOOAAAKAAKA!!!!

it was a black 370, the second one i've seen on the street, and from what i could see and hear, it had exhaust and suspension done... these last 27 days are gonna suck
