I missed running 12.7's by .0009. Stock tires, with stillen G3, CBE, Berk cats and 4.08 gears. I ran it with a very cool engine and 4th guy down the track. Traction got worse on every pass and in the end the best i good do was 2.1 to 2.3's !!!! It spun the tires in first no matter how i babied it of the line. The real scarry part is 2nd gear. I shiffed at 7300 and when it went into 2nd it spun the tires from 6700 to 7200 and i had to shift into thrid This happens in a split 2nd. ( rev matching is the problem as i had no 2nd gear when the track lost traction).
2nd best pass was a 12.95 @ 110.92.
The hotter the moter got the slower the car ran 13.01 to 13.56.
After one pass late in the day my oil temp was 230 degres!!
The 12.8009 run it was reading 158.

It was a great day as the track owner informed me that my reaction time was the best time of the day for all the cars there.
I also belive that my car has more RWHP that 291 per my last dyno run. It has to be close to 318 to 320.
I improved from 13.2098 to 12.8009.
I could not run my roja 19.s with the toyos as i could not get a short valve stem for one of the rims. With those tires it would have gone low 12.7s easy.
The 370 is very fast with the 7 AT. but with stock tires are its a major problem. I tried lanching at different rpms and the best was 1000. If i held the gas and the brake at 2000 rpm the car bogged. For all the other guys out here i would love to know how you do it.
If i would have had 50 shot or nitrous like the other guy it would have run low 12.3's.
Next modes. pulley, headers and tecno square flash. I need some drag radials for this car. Have to find some rims to clear the back brakes in 16 inch.
Will keep you guys posted.

Yeah, I am definitely go to throw out the Takeda's (or sell them on the boards) and pick up Injen I think. Berk exhaust arrives December at some point and I hopefully F.I. long tube headers are out so I can pick between Berk HFC or F.I. headers.

I will probably not go to the track (1/4 mile) to do cheater slicks but it is a good idea.

Yes but he has some good mods, though mostly basic bolt ons. Wstar went with us last night, but he could only put down mid 13s, so it was not the best night for our cars.

so Johns thinking of gettin the invidia cbe?

Thinking ......... they need to finish "version 2", and I need to see independant verifiable dyno that maintains the claimed 18 HP increase, as well as a video on the sound.

Way to go, I bet wstar should be in the 12s with what he has if we could get a none horrible night. Plus everyone was sliding in first and even second gear, he actually ran a 13.7 I think his first run with a trap speed of 78MPH.

Morning back at cha :icon23: :p (wrong icon was funny)

Performance wise, they offer the same approximate increase as the other choices, about 18HP, and...... the build quality and materials seem to be in the same ballpark, so the final determining factor is they are about $500 cheaper than the FI or Stillen. Now, this could all change after they complete version 2 of the exhaust, dyno numbers could drop, sound could be crappy. Will have to wait and see. I am still open minded as to what I'll do.

theDreamer 09-20-2009 11:50 AM

This is why I went with Berk, numbers are the same as everyone, liked the sound, and the price (at the time) could not be touched by anyone. Now if only I could have it. :(

ha cool, price is definately a factor...

whished i couldve got the F.I. for what i paid for the SLP loudmouth on the mach...

antennahead 09-20-2009 11:52 AM

I tend to agree with Frost's comment, $1500 is a lot to pay for an exhaust. The Invidia is projected to be around $1000, based on the price of the current Q300.

im not endorsing im just sayin...

Z eliminator is on the right track no pun intended that the tires are a problem trying to get them to stick. I did mention that cheater slicks are needed.
