They are shipping the old ones, they wanted another month or 2 for new ones and I said F-that.

I had a conversation with Mike the powdercoater regarding re-finishing the wheels and he made me feel at-ease with accepting a re-powdercoated wheel.

Dreamer, I played with the 6965 at best buy the other day and really liked it, found the 6969 with better graphics card on newegg for about the same price, so jumped on the deal. I ordered it yesterday, will be here tomorrow :excited:

Oh, and my eibachs should be on my porch right about now :excited:

nogoodname 09-09-2009 12:34 PM

that's good... hope it comes intact and with perfect finish :)

phelan 09-09-2009 12:35 PM

What'd he say about re-powdercoated wheels?

nogoodname 09-09-2009 12:36 PM

eibachs on the Z is pretty low

eibachs on the G... well the rear is lower, but the front is really lowered...
it has a mean stance to it... some ppl say the rear is too high...

i like it..... i'll find pics

the temperatures the wheels reach aren't anywhere near enough to affect the compositions of the metals. He's powdercoated wheels 5+ times and have seen no ill-effects.

If they aren't in perfect condition I'll be raising hell, trust me!

like how it's been lowered???

Yeah, I think the one at Best Buy (the one my friend got) is a very specific one for Best Buy. Newegg/Amazon/ZipZoomFly have some variations of it that can be better for the price, but she does not care about graphics or this or that so she bought it from Best Buy. It works great and does everything she needs.

With the HU, I will probably end up with one of the pioneers, still not sure which one. Though I am not going to really pick until the end of the month. I am still going over features and different items each one can do. Probably just need to start one of my spreadsheets and check boxes to do the comparison, be back in a bit now. :D

I'd LOVE to know what material and temps he's using.

Then again, I come from an aerospace background so maybe I'm just paranoid as hell. :icon14:

Looks good. I'm worried about the eibach's being too low for me, since I only have 3/4" clearance getting out of my driveway. I may just have to take off the front tires spoiler things since those sit the lowest.

Looks good to me....looks similar to another car I've seen before. Now, which one could that be....hmmmmmm.

typical temp is 400-450 for 30 minutes. Slow heat-up and slow cool-down, no drastic temp changes. No idea on the material, but I know he is doing forged aluminum

nogoodname 09-09-2009 12:43 PM

hey now, the G is a good car.....
