nope no leaks that i saw nor anything else but i haven't checked under the hood/car either. The oil light keeps coming on though and the oil level is under a 1/4

actually here's the full story... so about a month or so ago my oil light when on so i immediately made an apt for service.. i go there and the guys like oh your car isnt due for another so and so miles (i forget) and im like well the oil thing comes on and hes like oh maybe its the level you might just need to be topped off.. so he checks it and it was pretty much filled and he asked me if i had just drove a long distance or up a hill or something and im like no... so whatever he sent me on my way.. well all of a sudden it keeps popping up again and i checked the level and now its basically empty!

So you actually checked the oil level manually with the dipstick? (Someone told me that they don't even put dipsticks in BMWs anymore.)

next time make sure the dealer checks it, who cares if it's not time to change the oil...

well they actually gave me a thing of the oil when i was there.. so im hopinggg AK will do it before i leave bc im scaredddd to drive!!

Here's the thing that bothers me. What if it really is just a faulty sensor and the oil level is actually fine? So Sunsational goes and dumps a bottle of oil in there, and now it's over-filled! A real dipstick would be handy right about . . . NOW.

lol..... tell him there's a 370Z article under the hood...then he pops the hood open to find nothing and you say, "well, the hood is open and u're here.....fill up some oil"....lol

Maybe if Sunsational put Ceramic briquettes in the oil filler cap, it will stop flareups and the gauge light will turn off.
