WOW Vancouver....

I'm sry but the fact that the people of that city thought it necessary to trash THEIR OWN city after losing is terrible. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but i am completely amazing at how big of cry baby's people turn into after a game. "Eh guys i think i have a solution to us losin they game. Lets go oot and aboot and riot! That will surely bring our win back eh?!"

Just a random commentary

Fukin embarrassment

I also thought the loud booing during the presentations was very low class. The Canucks had a great year even though they lost, and now the only thing people will remember is how classless a lot of Vancouver fans were.

Vancouver is an embarrassment to Canada. Not for the loss, they got out played, big time. But for being ******* about it. You lost now hang your head and go the f home.

A lot of cities react like this in defeat. It happens. It's a tough pill to swallow.

I can't believe the B's won like that on the road. The Canucks have nothing to hang their head on, though. They had an amazing season.

Actually, they do. Luongo's big flappy mouth going off. After that Canucks seemed destined to lose the Stanley Cup.

I agree that cities can get pretty riled up, but seriously, a RIOT??? Even Miami's 'heartbreak' didn't warrant riots.

Stay classy, Vancouver.

It's nothing new, though.

And so what about flappy mouf. They made it to the dance with offense and great goaltending, but they lacked D. Boston had D and goaltending, and that won the series.

Just because it happens all the time doesn't mean it should be acceptable. i agree that, as a city, vancouver should be embarassed by this whole thing

just because u lost doesnt mean you have to wreck YOUR OWN city. what the hell does that prove??

Oh, you've got a point. I'm just pointing out that it's not some new precedent. Sports fans react when overflowing with emotion, both good and bad emotion. I don't think it reflects on that particular city, though. Just that group of nutters on that magical/horrible evening.

see this is the reason we just avoiding winning all together in kansas city... in any sports...:icon17: :icon17:

Now that's funny :icon18:

I lived in Vancouver for 12 years. They easily have the most crappiest, most fickle fans of any city I've ever been to. I've never looked around a hockey game and watched so many people sip white wine spritzers while at a sporting event.

If the team loses 3 games in a row, everyone in the city wants the head coach fired and half the team traded. If they win 3 games in a row, the whole city has their Vanucks jerseys on.

There is a reason they lost their NBA team. The fans have no real commitment to the team, and just see it as a casual social event.

I loved living in Vancouver, but it sucks for sports fans, and snobbery.

:iagree: And it's happened in Edmonton before. I was there in 2006 and it was scarey. Hooligans should be prosicuted to the fullest extent of the law and made an example of.

It is an embarassment to Vancouver.
