I was going to USF (Frisco) in the 1980's when a similar basketball scandal erupted. It caused the program to be cancelled for 4 years.

Pull the schools NCAA rating forever and this sort of thing would eventually go away.

Seems a bit sketchy....

"Pryor drove up to a players-only team meeting on Monday night in a coal-black Nissan 350Z sports car with 30-day plates. The automotive information site Edmunds.com lists a recent, used 350Z, which it calls ''a proper sports car for the everyman,'' as costing between $16,000 and $27,000.

Pryor was stopped three times for traffic violations over the past three years, each time driving cars that were owned by Kniffin or a Columbus used-car dealership where he worked, the Dispatch has reported."

1) Every person I've ever known that worked at a dealership got to drive the merchandise, part of the perks of the job.

2) up to $27,000 for a 350Z?!?!?!?! COME ON!

:D

Every major college program is doing this. OSU just got caught. So did USC right after Pete Carroll jumped. So did Memphis basketball after Calipari left town. The list goes on and on. And that's only the programs that got caught. Someone tell me there's nothing fishy going on in SEC football.

I don't know if the correct move is to crack down with zero tolerance or just throw our hands up and say "pay for play". But whatever the fix is, the current system is surely broken and corrupt.

Just hope it doesn't get as bad as USC. They will be lucky if they recover after the sanctions are over.

I root for the bucks, bro. I'm right there with you.

If it makes you feel better to label me as bandwagon, that's fine. I've rooted for the bucks ever since OSU accepted me back in 98. I didn't end up attending the college, but they were the first school that accepted me. Therefore, I've rooted for them since.

:p

At least you have a good cause to root for them. I can accept that. However, all too often people around here just choose them because they can win, not because it's their blood.
People will miss the sweater vest but I guess there is always plan B for Tressel. (below)
