Google Music - BETA

1 Attachment(s)
Just got my invite to Google Music Beta, things I have learned so far:
-Can upload up to 20,000 songs
-Can ask the music from any computer (limit 8)
-Updated Android Music app allows streaming of my music and 'extra'
-Access to additional music of my choice
-Price - Currently free but it has been stated that a price will be added after it leaves beta

Currently my phone is still syncing with my account, at 150+ songs, and as each album is completed more choices are presented for me to try. I also got the option to select certain genres of music I wanted to have recommendations from, such as Classical, Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Country, etc.

Go here and click read more or log in and it should ask if you want to submit for an invite.

There was another company that did this 10 years ago (mp3.com) only more securely (you had to insert the original CD for authentication) and I loved the sh*t out of it. Unfortunately they got sued to kingdom come by the RIAA. The industry has changed a lot since then and google has the legal team that can stand behind this so this time I think it will work and will be even better.

Google Music follows more the idea of Pandora/Slacker radio than mp3.com.
One reason we are just now seeing this from Google even though we have know it for a few years now, the music industry wanted more money from Google. So they have already paid the necessary people.
