Well I'll never eat dominos Pizza again

Well I'll never eat dominos Pizza again :barf: Especially not if I'm in Conover, North Carolina.

Description: This is a great lesson on why you never post something like this on the Internet. These Dominos workers posted this on youtube earlier today (April 13, 2009) It was removed later this day but re-uploaded later. There's plenty of places to get details about the pizza chain's burgeoning PR crisis, so I won't go into detail here except to share a bit of information from AdAge.com's article: Two Domino's employees, identifying themselves as Kristy and Michael, posted a video in which they "besmirch a pair of sub sandwiches and the pizza chain's reputation. Michael inserts pieces of cheese into his nose and waves pieces of salami behind his backside. Both the salami and the cheese are placed on the sandwiches." In other videos posted to the Internet, Michael sneezes on cheese sticks and wipes his bare backside with a dish sponge.

A response from Dominos
Quote:

We'd like to thank you for being one of the
many customers who have brought to our
attention a series of videos that were posted
on YouTube and other websites. We sincerely
apologize for the actions of these two
individuals. They do not represent our brand
and 125,000 hard-working men and women of
Domino's Pizza across the country and in 60
countries around the world. The President of
Domino's USA has posted an apology on YouTube.

You can also follow us on Twitter at
Domino's Pizza (dpzinfo) on Twitter to get up to the

regain your trust. Although the individuals in
question claim it's a hoax, we're taking this
seriously. We're reexamining all of our hiring
practices and continuing audits of our stores
around the nation. The franchise owner of the
store, located in Conover, NC, has terminated
the employment of these individuals. The
individuals have been arrested and face felony
charges. The store was closed down and scrubbed from
top to bottom while we worked closely with the
local health department to ensure customer
safety. We value your business as a loyal
customer and hope our actions will help to
rega in your trust in Domino's Pizza.

This was added yesterday (April 15th 2009) Patrick Doyle, President, Domino's U.S.A., responds to video of (now former) Domino's team members

Disgusting!
But to be honest... we are all fooling ourselves if we think this kind of stuff doesn't go on.
It goes on EVERYwhere and if you stop eating domino's because of this video but continue to eat other foods from outside your home than you are naively optimistic. (not directed towards anyone specific)

BanningZ 04-16-2009 11:06 PM

^I don't really do fast food. I love to cook but this has definitely swayed my thinking even more to not eat stuff prepared by others in the fastfood industry.

CrownR426 04-17-2009 12:32 AM

LOL!
WOW...
They're never getting hired anywhere!
lmfao, such stupid people these days...
Have some respect!

Anatoray 04-17-2009 12:37 AM

This is why more and more places are making a more open food prep area where customers can see their food being made, but even those aren't fool proof. This is a risk involved with eating out, and is honestly something better not thought about.

Pushing_Tin 04-17-2009 02:31 AM

Nasty, but this goes on hundreds of times a day all over the country. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Thanks! It's true though, if those guys were making a decent hourly wage I dont' think they would jeopardize their jobs by pulling douchbaggery like that.

arcticreaver 04-17-2009 01:52 PM

i don't think this is suprising. it's not just dominos. every food restaurant have some shitty workers that does this.

epod86 04-17-2009 02:23 PM

Have I mentioned i hate humanity? No?

What happened to an honest days work? I'm also astonished the crap people put on youtube. Do they not realize that they're basically posting evidence for their own trial? Anybody remember the group of girls who beat the crap out of another girl while a boyfriend filmed it? If people certainly aren't getting smarter, you'd think they would learn from a mistake like that.
Sheesh.

I had Domino's last night. I like to live dangerously. While we were eating, my wife said "This pizza tastes different tonight. I can't quite put my finger on what's different, but it just doesn't taste like it usually does." So I told her that I told them to hold the snot when I ordered. :yum:

BanningZ 04-17-2009 05:05 PM

^ lol. Gross! Oh Semtex, you make me laugh. :D

Greg 04-18-2009 06:08 AM

I wouldn't say "everywhere" is like this... As (no morals) idiots like those are still (thankfully) a minority. Tho I don't eat crap like that anyway.:p

LOL Glad to see that their forth coming meals will now be served by fellow criminals . :D

"Hold the snot"

That reminds me of the scene from Super Troopers (one of my favorite movies) when farva goes to order a burger at the fast food place

Farva: Yea give me a double-bacon cheeseburger
Kid at counter: double-bacon Cheeseburger - its for a cop.
Farva: What the hell is that all about? What ya gonna spit in it now?
Kid: No, I was just telling him that so he makes it good.
Kid: Don't spit in that cop's burger....
Employee in kitchen: Roger, holding the spit

Funny thing is I've actually seen employees pull some nasty sh*t even while they're working in an open area.

Also, I think one of the nastiest practices that I've seen being tolerated are the employees that handle both the cashier duty and food handling.

If Domino's increases their pay, you then pay more for pizza.
Let's be honest, making a pizza is not the most difficult job in the world.
