Htc thunderbolt 4g

Anyone picking this up when it comes out? I've been an iPhone fan for a couple generations because it is so elegant and works so well. I'm thinking of picking it up if it does indeed get real 4g speeds. I've read reviews of sprints, tmoble, and att 4g phones being only slightly faster than 3G.

yeah its out friday .. i considered it but im waiting for the Droid Bionic in May/june

Our current (Verizon Wireless) 4G in New Orleans is running at Greater than 12 meg down.

4G speed isn't the phones' fault. Those networks are still very new and not as widespread or powerful as 3G. If you adopted 3G early, I'm sure you can relate to how slow those speeds were.

I'm still kind of blown away how fast most of the phones connect now considering when I first got on the Interwebs and had the top-of-the-line 28.8 modem with my first computer. :ugh:

Ordered this online hopefully it does really ship out on 17th.

Wow I really like the phone and it's not too big. I've never had anything but iPhones and got the thunderbolt so I can be ready to upgrade to an iPhone 4g in 1.5 years. I may stick with HTC from now on. The phone and OS has so much settings. I can say that some of the aps look more polished on the iPhone.

pics? specs?

azn370z 03-20-2011 02:05 PM

Sorry no pics. The fastest I got on 3g was 2mbps, on 4g I've gotten 10 mbps.

so the thunderbolt has a SIM card? thats weird...

i found out because my dad got one today and he dont know **** about phones so he was gonna swap with my brother for his droid.... so my bother could have the new thunderbolt...

they couldnt just go online and swap those EID #'s or whatever they are called.. the thunderbolt has a SIM card..

so is this how all the new LTE devices are going to be?

azn370z 03-21-2011 05:11 PM

I'm not sure if all LTE phones will have the card but yes the thunderbolt does have one.

Android OS phones FTW!!!
I have had an iPhone, Blackberrry, Windows, and Android phones...and the android OS just can't be stopped. I also develop some apps for Android so maybe that is swaying my opinion a little.:p
