I got pwned at the gas pump!!

I just got back home from filling up the 370z and I felt like I've just got bent over and rammed. Not a good feeling.

See my Avatar! :shakes head:

I feel super bad for those who daily drive their 370z. Glad I have a Prius to drive to and from work.

:iagree:

That why I have a DD that uses regular gas.

CrownR426 03-12-2011 08:04 PM

Oh my...
It's around 3.70ish around NJ.
D:
I heard in NY it already reached the 4.00 mark.
I guess when we go driving we have to enjoy it to the fullest!

Was there a sale? Long Lineups? Looks like a deal to me!

almost $90 a fill here so no sympathy :stirthepot:

Anatoray 03-12-2011 08:15 PM

Still could be worse. The peak fo gas prices around here was 4.29 a gallon for regular, and premium hid 4.59 x(

I remember my cousin actually couldn't fill up his tank all the way because gas pumps had dollar limits lol.

Vegitto-kun 03-12-2011 08:18 PM

lol you shouldn't complain

when I fill her up completely it costs me around 90 euro which is 125 dollars.

wheee! 03-12-2011 08:31 PM

^ stop filling it with Belgian chocolate....

MC 03-12-2011 08:37 PM

i cant believe people are complaining about the incovience of the price of gas with all the blood shed in Libya right now

(sarcasm)

Anatoray 03-12-2011 08:41 PM

Because with all the tragedy happening in the world today, its nice to talk about something small for a change. I've spent enough time "talking" about the problems in Egypt, Libya, Haiti, Japan, and wherever else problems creep up.

:tiphat:

Actually, I've said before (possibly on here?) that I can lump a few extra bucks at the pump if democracy is springing up naturally in the ME.

And... selfish American that I am... I do actually mean it :ugh2:

But... a revolution agaisnt a dictator that has an indirect impact on the gas prices willfully set by Opec is not exactly the same as the effect of a natural disaster...

The 70-80 range is what it costs to fill my Expedition here in Georgia. Fortunately, it was only 31 to fill the 10 gallon tank up in my CRZ

GZ3 03-13-2011 12:17 AM

geezzuzz....we are almost there here in tx

90 ST 03-13-2011 12:23 AM

we're about $5/gal in canada right now.

Corona370z 03-13-2011 08:10 AM

As much as it sucks having to pay a lot for gas, it should've been know by everyone when they purchased the car. Someone told me, "if you can afford the car, you can afford the gas." I also use my Z as a DD.

Aren't Priuses more expensive than a civic or something, though? Or is that a work supplied vehicle?

Yes. I bought my prius for 22k. The civic lx would be like 15k.

370Z JT 03-14-2011 12:56 AM

18.5 gallons? The Z has a 19 gallon tank right? You waited as long as possible I see.

wilsonp 03-14-2011 01:01 AM

For the price of the Prius, you could have driven about 90,000 miles, assuming you only drive the Z in the city and get about 17MPG, going by the 4.189/gal.

I don't think gas prices justify a Prius as a DD very well, and I don't think it is a great snow car either.

Yep. I fill up once a month in my 370z.

True, but I do not want to put that much miles on my 370z. The current gas prices do justify driving a Prius. I get 50+mpg on that car. Plus I do not get paranoid about parking it anywhere like I am with my 370z. It's my grocery getter because I can't fit my bulk load of toilet paper and other household items into my Z. I fill up the Prius twice a month at $32 a tank. Lastly, I can't remember the last time I saw snow anywhere near Sacramento.

We had that issue here in Texas a few years back.. pumps would max out at $50!

bigaudiofanat 03-14-2011 07:51 AM

Days like this I am glad I still have my civic even if I did not I have my bike 54 mpg on regular!!! Also have my convertible now.

cdoxp800 03-14-2011 07:52 AM

Ouch. Well my daily driver is a Chevy 2500Hd diesel. I get about 12mpg on it. It cost over close to a $100 to fill it up. That's 3x a week. Thank goodness it's a company truck.

I have the 2500HD petrol and get 10-12mpg, would have thought the diesel did a bit better.

ClemsonWill 03-14-2011 08:31 AM

The Z is on 3 dots. I'm not looking forward to filling it up. So I'm driving my civic as much as possible right now. 35mpg!

Lots of city driving, and sitting still in traffic.
