So this morning I see that speedtest.net was completely revamped and now they even have these things called 'speed wave' which even has rankings. Well After a few tries I was able to get a result I was confident would not be easily beaten...

Later during the day I find a guy came within just 2 megabits of my fastest download result after doing 350 tests.... He is obviously trying really hard to get 1st...

Its actually in down-town L.A. (multiple 10 gigabit providers) but our business is based out of Brea so that is the address on the whois and why it detects it as that.

That being said one of our biggest (if not the biggest?) office is in Brea, CA and has a 100m/100m metro ethernet connection. I am sure higher speeds could probably be had but it is not needed as we don't have any servers there. That being said that 100m connection runs around $2000/month.

It basically means these guys can download their porn REALLY fast. :icon17:

EXACTLY! I can get over 40 megabytes/sec off usenet. A 5 GB 1080p porn bluray rip only takes around 2 minutes to download!

One of the guys on another forum that I was on posted a 250Mb speedtest.'I think he worked at NASA.
I can buy 50Mb sevice here, but the prices are too high for me.

I am not allowed to post our download speeds as that would violate article 98.3.1 of the DoD's internet policy.. but lets just say, **** is like lightning....
