That's just because George Lucas needs money.

Honestly, I was the biggest fan of the original trilogy. I grew up with it. Han shot first.

But it's just been slowly and repeatedly degraded since then. :crying:

^ han did not shoot first, but greedo was a terrible shot.

random trivia - did you know that han solo frozen in carbonite appears as an easter egg in many of the episodes of firefly?

HKYStormFront 02-18-2011 03:47 PM

wouldn't surprise me^^ love that show and Serenity

lol we're stealing too many posts in the Star Trek page with Star Wars nonsense.

BTW, this thread should be titled "Anyone NOT Like Star Trek?" I'm no trekkie, but I've never disliked an episode or movie that I've seen. Is it possible to dislike Star Trek?

Firefly wad one of the best things to come out of the Sci Fi channel. Too bad it was canceled.

actually, yes. enterprise was rubbish, and more than half of ds9 was dreadful. voyager had to employ jeri ryan in skintights to increase viewership (not that i'm complaining, she was HOT in that jumpsuit).

the only one that people hold in high regard is TNG, it seems. TOS was hilarious for shatner comically acting out kirk trying to bang any alien lifeform that had a vagoo.

I loved TNG, was meh about DS9, and Voyager died on me when they decided to skip all of Borg space in one episode. Enterprise, imo, is not true Trek.

Lemers 02-18-2011 04:52 PM

Star trek died with Roddenberry

phelan 02-19-2011 01:24 AM

still works for me.

Firefly FTW.
