Great Scott!! It's cold!

Down here in good ol' Houston TX we're having rolling blackouts. Driving is a nightmare unless you're on a freeway as most lights in my area are out. Hit 20 degrees last night and we're barely hovering over freezing. Friday we'll get 3 inches of snow which is a mountain to us considering we rarely if ever get an inch once every three years.

Oh, the normal temps for this time of year should be 60 degrees or so. :D

How are you guys coping with the cold front?

Stay warm and stay safe.

hahah same here man, went to try and eat lunch...half the restuarants were closed due to the blackouts!

ThoriumHotdog 02-02-2011 01:11 PM

It seriously took me an hour to get to I-10 and I only live a couple miles away. They started this rolling blackout business right before the morning rush hour. Pure genius!

Played soccer outside with my unit yesterday morning.... in -30 Celsius (-22F)! Two feet of snow, windchill to -35 and a frozen soccer ball... good times

Gotta love the Army...

Yeah, sad to see people who do not know what to do at blinking lights or lights that are just off. Definitely cold today and lower temps coming.

I'm sitting with like 2 jackets and 3 pants, not used to this weather at all. Wouldn't wanna be up north now! I'm from Costa Rica

I'm surprised here in VA was about 69ºF today, but tomorrow down to 38ºF. :shakes head:

Pu$$y! Today, I heard about some govt offices closing because it was 'cold.'

I woke up to -20 this morning and still went to work! I didn't even wear gloves or a hat. Just threw on a jacket.

Jeezus! When the zombies attack, you guys will be the first to go.

It was -17F last night here in Denver and we finally got up to positive single digits today. They shut down the freaking schools because they were worried about kids out in the cold waiting for the bus. We just had about an inch of snow but it was dang cold last night when I was shoveling, especially with a 15mph wind. I have been up here since 1996 having originally grown up and lived my entire life in the Dallas area but I have gotten used to it. It will be back up to 45F on Friday.

1.5 inches of snow in El Paso shut the entire city down. Damn that global warming
