Bad Driveway

So i keep talking about this to a few people and well..

http://www.the370z.com/members/daisu...3-driveway.jpg

Now the picture. Im standing with the camera at head level. The top of the driveway is higher than that. Also the two white spots in the road just in front of it are from when people tried to go up it when we said dont and their trailer hitch, or exhaust hit the bottom.

And yes.. its worse than it looks in the image.. Patrick and James and Chris can attest to that.

Anywho. who else has a shitty *** driveway.

Cmike2780 12-21-2010 09:58 PM

Every driveway is shitty with the front chin spoiler. For some reason it's not as bad if I back my car in though.

Mine is only steep at the curb. So I have to go real slow even for going up the driveway or I will hit the spoiler.

daisuke149 12-21-2010 10:12 PM

yeah the chin spoiler scrapes on the way up and down.

If i go straight into the driveway i would hit the front of the bumper

if i go at too much of an agle, the car ends up on 2 wheels and then the free back wheel just spins... and im stuck.. when i changed my suspension, i had to figure out a new angle as well. got stuck 5 times trying to figure it out.

Same here, except if I take off the chin spoiler I can get up the driveway w/o dragging. The second time i tried a new angle up the drive, i had to turn off vdc so I could get into my garage.

if i had your driveway, i probably would buy a car with high ground clearance :)

puckshaw 12-22-2010 11:14 AM

That looks a lot like mine. I have to go in at an extreme angle and get it perfect or the front end scrapes. It goes on 3 wheels everytime. The trick is to have enough momentum to coast right as the rear wheel comes off the ground and then get back on the throttle when it's back on the ground. If more than one other car is in the driveway, I can't get in or out. I'll never be able to lower my car or get a front lip unless I move :(

yup. Mine ends up on 2 wheels its stuck.

but if i ue too much momentum, the rear end drops a bit and hits. As it is right now the exhaust scrapes a lil bit due to it being a bit lower.

but yes, cannot lower my car or lips.

ClemsonWill 12-22-2010 12:36 PM

I thought my driveway was bad but you win! Are you lowered?

daisuke149 12-22-2010 12:38 PM

noope.. cannot afford to lower it. when i first joined this forum and got the car i was thinking about trying to raise it about .5-1" but i figured out the angles on the driveway.

PapoZalsa 12-22-2010 09:19 PM

At least you have a double driveway...and can angle the car to drve up.

+1

I have a single driveway, so you gotta find a balance between not scraping too bad and missing the curb lol.

fairladyZ34 12-24-2010 12:34 AM

follow those mud tracks an put a driveway there

daisuke149 12-24-2010 01:08 AM

our HOA would frown upon a 4 car width driveway. I have thought about it. It would really help out with the car.. and.. i hate lawn work.

370zproject 12-24-2010 01:34 AM

you can get a bridge device i think
