Winter P90X

Anyone doing this workout? Have you done it in the past? Results?

I did it last year, but only for three weeks and felt better than I had in my whole [short] life. I started day one again today and feel accomplished.

For those who don't know, it's a 90-day workout program with videos. Except people I know who have done this RAVE about it. Even my 3 weeks turned me into a believer. Theres a nutrition program and its tough if you like to eat a lot of carbs, the workouts last from 60 to 90 minutes every day with one rest day per week. It's quite a commitment.

So, thoughts?

i did it about halfway, then stopped. living at home doesn't really help me follow the diet plan, the family just goes "wtf is wrong with you"

that and i didn't have time for 6/week workouts, i typically maintain with 3/week.

I did it in the spring and into the summer lost a total of 20lbs give or take, Mixed it up started the classic program for the first 50-60 days then switched to lean workout for the last.

Started 194-198lbs

Ended 174-178lbs

I am thinking of starting it again over the winter just to help me stay active, along with playing basketball in a local league I run.

I did it twice (two rounds) in '09, went from 200 lbs to 170 & 10% body fat. Short hiatus while I was deployed, I recently re-started again and currently on the second month. Currently at 188 and 12% body fat.

That's all really great to hear!
And Phelan, maybe you should convince them to buy you extra chicken breast to grill and do most of the workouts and y ou can transform before their eyes. I know what you mean- working out is foreign to my family, but they should eventually see that you are trying to stay healthy. Not about looks, but about being healthy and feeling good. I stopped my routine last year because I went to my parents' houses for the holidays. Felt embarrassed to even do my workouts at their houses. That was a bad way to look at things, but I'm just saying i get what you mean

"What do you MEAN you wont eat my chocolate chip cookies?!"

Well, I'm going to keep chugging along with this, and I hope the rest of you find some ways to stay active these months. Keep those clutch legs and shifter arms strong :)
